damn it's to early for this shit, but I like OU's spot especially if the QB position gets worked out early.

USC... at #1
waits for Venom to again explain to everyone how they havent had one of the best runs in the history of the game.
nice to see the big12 regulars back in the top 15.
I am hoping for an awesome RRS.... and the winner of the RRS to win all the rest of their games.

If anything, Florida should be #1 considering that they won the National Championship, are retaining a pretty decent amount of that team, and have a top-5 recruiting class coming in.
I'm not really sure how OU is ranked that high considering the people that they are losing. Flynn isn't coming to OU with Russell leaving so they are EXTREMELY shakey at QB, even more so than the past 2 years.
I'm pretty happy with where Texas is considering who they are losing on defense and offensive line. It will be interesting to see how things shape out in the off-season with the new DC and all the new, young guys on defense. They've got a ton of guys who have great talent, but were just waiting their turn in line.
Texas' offense could be absolutely amazing again with Colt, Charles, Sweed, Pittman, Cosby, Shipley, and Finley all coming back.
They are ranking OU that high because of the number of ppl who are returning. OU was one of the younger(est) teams this year. They do say that it all rides on how well one of the guys fill in at QB. They said RB should be no problem even if AD leaves.

flynn still might go, LSU does have that ryan periloux guy who welched on UT to go to LSU. According to Sporting News, his senior year of HS, he was the best looking QB recruit in the country since John Elway

he won't beat out flynn, flynn's already proven himself and will be the starter.

Banking on a Juco transfer in Halzle, a 3-star QB who didn't do much in HS in Bradford, or a true Freshman in Nichol seems like a pretty big stretch. I highly doubt Nichol starts as a true Freshman so that leaves Halzle or Bradford.
Patrick should be a decent gapstop for Peterson leaving, but you can't ever really fill a hole like that.
The defense for OU will also be an issue just like Texas as they are losing a pretty good amount of seniors.

Perrilloux isn't going to be QB'ing for anyone because he's about to be brought up on FEDERAL charges for credit card fraud. Just another reason for Texas fans to be glad that guy never came here. Flynn is staying put at LSU.
