who of you have one? do you like it? so what are all the bugs THIS time? i figure the first 10,000 (at least) will be more example's of sony's ability to build a damn good bug generator.

I do. The good games aren't quite out. What pissed me off was the fact that after spending 600 bills, they didn't even include component cables. C'mon. Even the 360 comes with component.
You'd do well to wait and just stick with the wii60 combo.

I've got one. I like it but for the money I'd rather have an xbox or a wii with a few games. For $499 i figured it would have an extra controller, game, and the hdmi cable.....it didnt. Dont waste your money hold out for the wii to become more available, or just get the xbox, they are fantastic as well, just me .02

Don't hold your breath too long on GT HD. It got canned. The demo is available as a download with something like 10 cars and 1 track (with a mirror mode), but it won't be a full game. They scrapped it to work on GT5, no word when that's due. Probably 2008 or 2009.

I have one, I like it. No problems what so ever so far and I've been playing it alot. Not any really good games out for it yet though. And for you guys complaining about price see how much blu ray dvd players alone are going for.

Yeah... that'd be spectacular if I actually wanted a BluRay player.
See, I'm not one to buy into a format that's currently in a format war, and has a 50/50 chance of failing... and given Sony's track record with format wars, it doesn't instill much confidence. If HDDVD or online/digital distribution wins this current format war, suddenly it's no longer a "cheap BluRay player" but rather an expensive video game machine.
Give me a non-BluRay version in place of the current low end. Make it $300 with a 20gig hdd and you've got a winner. Make the 60gig version with the BluRay at $600 (and naturally make the BluRay drive for movies only, games still on DVD).
But they didn't do that. They opted to try and force BluRay on everyone, whether we want it or not.

I dunno :-/ That's just what I've read on it. Supposed to be 10 cars, 1 track with a mirror mode. It's basically the game they were going to make people buy, and then if you wanted more cars/tracks you had to pay for each additional car/track individually.
[edit]And with GT5 probably not due until 2008/9, FFXIII also in 2008/9... that's probably when I'll be interested in getting a PS3. That is, of course, assuming FFXIII doesn't also come out for the 360... and I'm more interested in Forza 2 than GT5, to be honest. Polyphony needs to get off this no damage model kick. It was understandable for GT and GT2 when the licensed cars actually had the clause of no damage, but now there's plenty of games... including Forza... that have licensed cars with damage models, that there's just no excuse anymore for GT not to have it.

You've got to beat the goal time and it unlocks another, up to 10 total. Then the same track is a drifting course or you can run it in reverse and it also unlocks the staged mod cars.

Aah. Well that's why I didn't unlock them. I got so bored with the first car I just quit playing.
