Anybody know where you can download an update to a Garmin GPS? Any file 'sharing' places I could look?

Im looking for MetroGuide North America v8 (or v7)

Its a tad bit expensive to buy ;)

Demonoid (http://demonoid.com)

Great torrent tracker, it's the first place I go if what I want isn't available on usenet.

Thanks!

I downloaded the torrent. What do I do from here? There are three files. One is a txt file of the unlock code, another is a txt file saying where I downloaded the torrent from, and the other is a single .iso file that is HUGE. What do I do with the single file? Burn it onto a CD and then use it like the real CD from Garmin? If so, its so big it wont fit on a CD!?

This is my first time to do anything like this, any help is appreciated!

If you just want to keep the iso/whatever image format handy and not burn it, go here (http://www.slysoft.com/en/virtual-clonedrive.html) and use that. Once installed, double click the image file and it will load into a virtual drive. Use it as if you'd inserted a disc in a physical drive. When you're done, go to my computer, right click the virtual drive and under the virtual drive letter, right click, choose Virtual CloneDrive and unmount.

yep, for future reference, clonedrive/ daemon tools are reaaaally great for things like this. any iso file can be mounted into the drive just like a real DVD/CD.
