A friend of mine stopped by to tell me (may be a repost, but I didn't see it) of another rider who died this weekend. I don't know the guys name but I've seen the bike a hundred times, if not a thousand. The guys are always at Kennedale on one of the faster bikes that said "magic racing" on the back/side of the bike.

Allegedly he was at his shop working on the bike, took it out on the street (!) to make a test hit. Apparently he was without gear, and had it pretty wound up - over 100 mph. Someone pulled out in front of him and he hit the car broadside. Again, allegedly, the impact was so bad that it put the car on it's side, killed the rider, and injured the people (or person) in the car.

I don't know how much of this is true, or if the details are accurate - I'd like to think they weren't true...but if it is - RIP.

It was Keith of Magic Racing. They donated all of the tech card fees today from Redline to him, I hate paying the extra money Redline charges over Kennedale but they do some really nice stuff for people out there.

I went out there today.. It was nice.
There were alot more riders out than I expected and it was a nice day.
They took collections for Keiths family and the guys had some Magic racing t-shirts made. They had nice pics of Keith and his bike and said "In memory of Magic" on them. Almost every bike had a sticker on it saying the same.

It looked like they collected quite a bit of money.... the bucket was getting pretty full when I put mine in.

I know there were some entities such as PMRA (Professional Motorcycle Racing Association)that chipped in larger amounts and provided some t-shirts to sell.

All in all it made me proud to be a bike racer... and I am sure that Keiths family will appreciate it.

We will miss ya Magic.

Damn that is pretty cool that everyone came together like that. I talked to some people that were out there who told me a similar story - other than it didn't sound like everyone knew what was goign on at the track.

R.I.P. Keith.

Did it happen in Cedar Hill? We were at Mcdonalds on Belt Line & 67 Saturday night when a bike took off from the red light going west on Belt Line. He was going really fast on a wheelie and somone pulled out in front of him.

Darwin wins again...

Sounds like the gear wouldn't have helped much in this case, but he might be really broken up, instead of dead. R.I.P.

Think so, but not sure. If it's the bike I think it is - it runs low 5's / high 4's. Although he may not have been on that bike..

Damn, sounds like Uriah...I was right down the street when it happened. Didn't know he was in a wheelie.....might have been why they didnt see him, there was alot of construction in that area and it was getting near dusk.

No worries, I wasn't sure where it was or what he was on, as I mentioned. I figured someone in this forum would. I can't quite place what he looks like - I know the bike well though.

these guys always worked on my old roomates bike. Most guys on bikes try to act hard but these guys were real nice. Its the shop right off of buckner in the grove. A buddy said he didnt have any insurance so all of the charity was greatly appreciated. I lost my dad and he did not have any kind of plan so it cost a lot of money for a funeral. RIP
