Looks like Snead is headed to TCU according to the DMN.

It doesn't surprise me in the least bit seeing as how Texas has a glut of QB's right now and more on the way.
Texas has John Brantley locked up and I definately see him as a better talent than Snead and he'll be able to possibly red-shirt to extend his time at Texas with Colt being the starter.

Snead is definately big time talent and should make an instant impact on TCU's QB situation.

possibly redshirt? he said he wants to, i hope he does.
well, if Snead goes i wish him well. Plus this would be closer to his home town.
i guess this means Sherrod Harris will be the back up next year. I hope Chiles still goes to Texas but i hope they use him like a RT type.

Well thats cool. I kinda figured that would happen when Colt took off this season.
Looks like the Frogs might be a top 20 team for a while next season!

Well I am sure after a few snaps and some game time he won't have a -200 rating like he did against Texas A&M :D

such pathetic shit talk :D
Aught to be interesting if he's the qb in a couple of years when the horns play the frogs
you can also look at this situation this way: Is he leaving because he's scared of some competition? I mean, he backed out of Florida cause Tebow was going there too, he got beat out by McCoy and he knows one of the best QB's coming out of HS this year is coming into town. Maybe he was to used to being the "star" and not used to sitting the bench like he did? I hope this isn't true, but if it is a person like this does not belong on a high profile team to begin with imo
and i would say if McCoy isn't ready for the bowl game that Mack won't burn Harris's RS, but he did that to Simms when Applewhite got "sick" down at atm

I would look at it more as someone who has an chance to walk in and be the starter no matter what. You can't blame a guy for wanting to be in the spot light.

Well maybe Snead is not able to handle high caliber competition like he would have had to at Florida and like at Texas. Maybe at Stephenville he was more a product of the system than being that good of a QB.

I think this is a good move for him. What was he rated as a recuit? I'm sure it was high, and for him to sit in austin so many years is a waste of good talent.

Snead was a 4-Star recruit according to rivals.com:

He had a chance at the starting position this year, but I think Colt having the red-shirt year to learn the offense and to experience the feel of a college game helped him alot in winning the job over Snead.
He definately would be riding the pine if he stayed in Austin.
