Thanks to Brooks and TX Raceway for putting this together!
The first time out it went 10.10@137 & the 1/8 was 6.56@107.6 . This was run on 19-20psi which was making in the 780-820rwhp. Since then we switched to a heavier twin disc clutch and turned the boost up to 24psi, where it made 886rwhp sae and 906rwhp uncorrected.
I have been daily driving it, and it drives like a stock car. We went out the way I daily drive it, 12" sub, 5 channel amp, 17"s, 6 spd, IRS, 100% full weight. 3,900lbs race weight.
Drove 50-60 miles to the track with 3 people comfortabley, for a mustang. As soon as we got there I filled out the tech card and got in line.
This is when we expierenced our first problem with the all the new parts. We had a stainless water line rubbing into itself and wore a whole thru it. They saw it on the starting line and backed me out. Luckily it was just a 4an line that is used on the water cooling part of the turbo. It was easily fixed and back at it.
The first pass it bogged on the line, it ran a 6.85@113 , 1.71 60'. Then we brought it right back around, raised the tire pressure since I was already trying to leave as hard as possible. We don't have the dis 4's and I don't trust the factory two step. On this pass it just had a very slight bog, and went 6.26@115.34 with a 1.500 60'. It stunk like clutch pretty bad so we let it sit for a while. Then on the last pass it bogged like the first time. It ran 6.66@114 with a 1.66 60' , on that note we called it a day since this was our transportation.
Since we had some race gas in the tank still and a fresh set of tires. I punched it in first on the way home and it dead hooked with a small chirp for 2nd. After a 4 wheel alignment the irs is working like a champ, it puts the power down! It would be very difficult for a solid rear to plant that much power on 17"s on the street, and still keep it comfortable (just my .02).
We will be taking it to the Clash of the Titans @ HRP, we will drive it there & hopefully back. From the 1/8 mile times it should definately go 9's, I am thinking in the 9.6-9.7 range. My goal from the begining was a 9 second car with all the luxeries. It has now met my goals, I am extremely proud of this car. It is a pleasure to drive weather it is around town or down the track.
