I can't decide on who gets the "most broken shit in one pass award" - That one should go to slowbrick or mach1marauder for sure. :D

The biggest/most wheelies in one pass should go to 67blackbird!

The most fluid spilled in the shortest amount of time goes to the white turbo GT - (sorry I can't remember your name)

The most consistent and winner of "open street" goes to 8D8STANG who ran a string of 5.9's and DROVE IN FROM THE NORTH SIDE OF FTW!

The most people fit in one '03 Cobra - goes to Fred and Claudette.

The most excitement the whole day goes to all of the motorcycle guys together (you guys need a ring and some gloves next time :D)!

Carless Chris gets one again this time for having the most inoperable cars - and breaking his last running one. :D

slowbrick gets another one for - listening and taking it to heart - "racers if you break or have problems please pull over" ... he just pulled over a little to fast and made it to the guardrail :( (J/K Greg! :D)

JamesB for the cleanest/prettiest car on the premisis. Hands down. That thing is beautiful!!!!

That's all I can think of for now.. please feel free to add to this one :D

5.49@129 This is the first time for 3 years the car has gone down the track with out having problems. Now we can get to tunning it. I need the car to leave on more boost. Its only left on 8lbs. The convertor is too loose for the low boost/low rpm launches, so its real lazy for the first half of the track. 60ft was only 1.33's

I also want to thank Bill Duke for helping with the tunning. For you guys that dont know who he is he owns Dukes Paint and Body, He tunes some of the fastest turbo cars around here.

Rhonda - that thing needs more air in the tires to start. I saw a pic around here somewhere - where you can see the rim almost touching the ground. A "dead hook" is NOT always the answer. Remember, the low pressure is what makes the car continually sway as it goes down the track.

Your 7 second time slip will come with the shifting and more air in the tires!

The tire buckling this hard, is hard for a "low" hp car to overcome.

<a href="http://photobucket.com/" target="_blank"><img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b376/bad89stang/Fall%20Cruise%2006/2006FallCruise126.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a>

...and a pretty good example of what I speak of.

some cars just hit the tires hard on a launch, others don't. I'd try to work on getting it to launch with more air in the tires....

Greg (Gray) noticed my tires in the lanes and pulled out his gage. lol (that cracked me up because it is such a car guy thing to 1. notice and 2 have a gage in your pocket haha). The last run I had 12p in them... I can't tell which run the picture is from though. First run the tires had 8-9p in them :o

A little more seat time and consistency, and she's golden :)

^^^That’s the truth. I see what you are talking about Brooks. In that pic the tires where @ 11psi, I had them @ 8psi. Greg (greyhorse) said those need more air, I was kinda like huh? When we walked up on Jet he was like Hell No 8psi. LoL I'll try more air next pass (15psi) and see what is does. As far as suspension setup, Umm yeah there isn't one. lol Stock control arms, stock stock stock everything. lol rear shocks are pep boys red ryders and the struts are the same bullshit. We are upgrading with damb near every free penny.

My theory is - use more air and take it away till it slows down. This may or may not take you a couple of trips to the track to see what the car likes. From that point on you will have a very good idea where to start.
If you could see your car from behind as it went down the track, you'll see that it needs more air. I've NEVER used under 10 psi. If any car ( mainly fox mustang) ever has to abort a pass it's always 3rd gear when the car starts to sway. You are (imho) close to that point quite often.
I just got a complete set of control arms for my streetcar from blueovalperformace on ebay for 165$ to the door I believe. They are decent quality and FAR better than the stockers. You oughtta check them out.

I thought you were spinning, thats why I told you 8. YOu need as much air in the tire that you can get without spinning. Start high and keep droping them until they stop spinning out of the hole, or start low and keep adding air until the just start to spin, then drop back a little bit.
