The maps are fuckin' huge! The only thing pissing me off is not the game, but the lack of team work. Those puds are all running solo.

Okay, finally got it installed and able to launch game after EC: 5570 error. If you get it let me know.

But now, I got the game started, and right after the intro where it asks for EA log in information, I input, and get the following error:

***The Cd key has already been registered with an account.***

Now, I DLed everything via EA downloader, and am using the same log in information as that. I also attempted creating a new account, (in game), and am still unsuccessful in being able to log into the game. EA account info has been verified as correct.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

She is the one that told me it comes with the shipment of games when I reserved it months ago. Called corporate and they gave me a key for the weapons unlock but Ill never see the jumpdrive or dogtags. Owell.

I have played the demo a bit and it LAGS so bad. I have a good machine too. I will probably still get it. If you guys clan up I am in. My tag will be usmc4x4 just like in bf2.

GameStop pulled the same shit on me, guaranteed the game yesterday tho.

I got my full refund. I ended up paying $43 for the game at Target, it was the last one on the shelves.

As for the ads, they're only visible on the map loading screen, and it's about 1 1/2 inches by 4 on the bottom right corner of the screen. I don't pay any attention to it.

you do know that 2142 installs some kind of web watcher program to place ads in the game personalized to your taste..
In my opinion this is bullshit, when i'm hunting someone down I don't want to see a fucking doritos ad? Who knew EA would charge YOU for spyware..

I dunno, i've pretty much had it with the BF series though, BF2/SF was great in the beginning but it got really crappy imo. 2142 just feels like a BF mod, and a so-so one at that.

Call 1-800-883-8895 option 1 for Gamestop's customer support and tell them you pre-ordered it and picked it up but never got the weapon upgrade code or anything else. They didnt ask what store I went to, or nothing and gave me a code and then I went to http://battlefield.ea.com/battlefield/bf2142/rank.aspx and put in the code and got my unlocks and some other stuff I think.

BF2142 is a BF2 mod. Its the same exact engine as BF2, just re-hashed. 2142 scored even lower than BF2 on GameSpot.com

BF2142 is a joke. The graphics are decent, but nothing beyond BF2. ITS THE SAME FUCKING GAME. I cant believe people are actually buying it honestly. BF2 took a nosedive after 1.2, what makes people think EA/DICE wont take advantage of them with 2142?

Yep, this game is gonna bring stat padding to a whole new level. You see those guys in the Pistol/Knife only servers on BF2 to get their ranks up (the guys who have hundreds of thousands of points, Colonels, Generals, etc). Well in 2142, there is SOOOOO much more shit to unlock, its just going to encourage it so much more. The normal guy who doesnt stat pad is just going to get the shitty end of the deal.

I just delete my cookies before I play. I've done it twice, and I haven't seen any ads.

From what I have read, the program doesn't read your cookies...it stores it in its own files. There are no ads in game yet simply because DICE hasn't started them yet.

been playing on and off, i do like the way the game looks, the vehicles are nice, i like them... but the unlocks do have a SEVERE advantage over the stock weapons, and thats only going to add to the padding, plus you get the bf2 vets with their top ranks ( which = all unlocks? ) and its just that much more unplesant

maps dont seem to be strategy influenced, instead i see it as more of a deathmatch, which is pretty freakin cheesy, to sum it up... i'm just not feeling this bf2142 yet but umm, maybe i havent tried the right map

*and about the ads thing, wouldnt your ad blocker funtion on your firewall block most of that stuff out? i get my xfire ads blocked with it...

Well, I just got my ass handed to me. So far, there are no team coordination on any of the servers I've tried. I've unlocked the AED Defribillator, but I have no clue on how to use it, or what key to bring it out.

I love it. Only real issues are the stats issues(which always get resolved anyways). The game has pretty much taken my soul from me though, addicting bc there is always something else to work for.

Yes, this game is a fucking addiction. I got ranked last night when we were playing, so my avatar is again outdated. I've completely lost my stats a few times, but they've always come back.

With the 1.05 patch there has been an issue with Battlefield 2142 crashing at the end of a round in Titan Mode. We are aware of this issue and are currently gathering information. If you are experiencing this issue please submit a question using the Contact Us tab and send us the information from a program called Dxdiag.

Thats a bad CD key, I bought Battlefield 2 from Fry's and it gave me that error and I called EA and they just kept telling me to reinstall. Went back got another, same error, then I finally got my money back and went to Target and bought the game for a 3rd time and it worked. So its definitely the CD Key go get your money back and get a copy from a different store.

i noticed you play in the cheech & chongs server (i just saw you in there) i play as "buzntxn", that server usually pings in the single digits to me so its my fav...

Better based on team work, capture the flag style but uses all modern day weapons and such. I play quite a bit but I'm not as good as the rest of these guys.
