It's time to start lifting!! haha
Well, i fractured my wrist and broke my big toe last year and stopped lifting completely.
For the last 2 months at work i've been doing more of a full body workout every third day on shift.
It's time to start braking down the muscle groups and get serious. :D
Last year i was at
190lbs with around 8% B.F.
now 176lbs with unknown B.F. Maybe 13% or so.
My bench is down from 360 to 275 right now. :(
Plan is to get back to where i was. I'll post up some progress as i go. Just bought some muscle milk, now i just need an energy drink.

Lo-carb monsters or VPX Redline if you have a very high tolerance.

I dont know if it's the best, but it's a great tasting protien mix.
I was thinking more like NO-Explode for a before workout drink. I've heard good and bad things about it though.

lol Muscle milk taste great, I had one after a workout and it was like a milkshake.. I read in nov. 2006 muscle and fitness if ur going for taste is ur #1 priority then go to a fast food join, but if getting huge is truly important than dont wory about the taste

#1 priority is to gain muscle. I'll do that in the gym, the protein will just help a little.
Gaining weight is fine with me.
I was reading about NO-Explode. Seems a lot of ppl are getting the shits from it. Also it has a LOT of caffeine (sp?) I dont drink anything with caffeine so i think it'll mess me up. If i drink 2 dr peppers my heart is racing.
Looking for something else. :D

It tastes good because it's higher in sugar and fat than most any other MRP out there. There are much better options for people not wanting to add a bunch of fat with their lean mass.
If you have a fairly high metabolism Greg, then Mucle milk is probably a good choice to get your strength back up. If you're worried about trimming that fat off, then I'd suggest a plain low-fat protein powder, and then get those extra calories from steamed veggies and yams.

I do have a high metabolism however, if you remember last year i gained 38lbs from 152 to 190lbs in 10 months and lost 4% body fat at the same time. Also went from 180 bench to 360. When i focus on something i will have great success. I wasnt taking anything illegal at the time either. Just good supplements.
My goal right now is just to get back to where i was in a few short months.

Screw musclemilk... forget about nitric oxide too. That shit is garbage. I didn't notice any effect from N.O. explode.
I get most of my protein from the good stuff, real food. I sip on a ergopharm shake during my workout with plenty of BCAA's, glutamine and some other shit mixed into it. Its only 23g protein but its plenty. Im taking in about 270ish grams of protein/day.
Im cutting up right now.. haven't quite figured out my goal body weight yet. Need to whip out the BF calipers I bought and do some calculations. For now, I just am shooting for below %10.
Oh yea for energy, try the extreme shock drinks. They are pretty good ;)

It's been about a year for me. Right before vacation I targeted a late season Ironman distance triathlon for me to train for starting after vacation. Unfortunately, I completely ruptured my achilles tendon on vacation.
So, it gives me a little bit more motivation to get through rehab and back to training because I've already committed to the ironman. I'm doing it for a charity and I've already had discussion with the charity. No backing out now.
Good news was I had surgery Tuesday before last and visited the surgeon on Monday and he said he was shocked at the healing that has already begun. Instead of 4 weeks in the cast we're doing 3 weeks. It will take another 3 weeks to get out of the boot and probably 2 months of rehab to bring the leg back up to strength. So that puts me at February to start training hard again.
Other than swim, bike, run, eat, sleep I'm going to incorporate the core performance training/diet from Mark Verstegen.
The goal being to get in as good of shape as I was in my 20s. I still have all my results from tests at the Coopers Clinic in my 20s and will do the tests again around September/October (one month before the ironman) and compare the results.

I've been having some good workouts this week. Strength is coming back really fast which is great.
I put up 105 dumbells 6 times on fat bench so i was happy there.
I was doing 120X8 at my biggest point.
Im currently taking...
Muscle Milk
No Explode
Mega Men daily Vitamins
Soon i'll jump into some X-fatcor or the new Halodrol Liquid Gels coming out. Not to be confused with the Halodrol-50 which is band. They are a totally different product.
