View Full Version : intel core duo...input?
Well, I had to return a P4 Asus mobo (defective) and decided to send the whole combo back that I bought online and just pick something up from Fry's. They had a 1.86ghz Core duo w/mobo for $169. I was debating between that or the Athlon 64 3800. The Fry's guy told me the core duo was better and it has a 1066mhz FSB.
Any input, havent heard much on the core duo... Did I make the right decision?

I've got a Dell D620 laptop from my work and its a Intel Duo 1.8.
Since it is dual cpu if you don't use apps that make use of an smp kernel then its useless.

Core2Duo are amazing overclockers..My buddy has a 6600 @ 4Ghz on Air.
Those chips clock like hell and nothing can beat them in terms of performance right now.
