64bit cpu's will run 32bit code.

It has nothing to do with drivers, the cpu's will run 32bit code no problem.

well, looks like x64 wont work with a sp2 fresh install, from what i've read, to run the 32bit on a 64 chip, you have to install with sp1 or a older chip... (not sure if i just need a copy with a pre sp2 xp 32, or if i need to load 32bit on a sempron or p4 and then install this compatibility driver (for the timings) ) but i do know that, mister, you are lacking some info.

i'll be sure to post the correct solution to this issue, when i find out exactly whats going on :)

Mind you I am no 'puter guru but I don't think the processor is your problem. A friend of mine is using a Dual Core AMD as well w/ XP.

That makes no sense... it needs to see the correct timing? Show me a link to where you're reading this at.

How about actually working the problem of the Bluescreen?

What is the stopcode? Something tells me 7B.

I have 2 amd 64bit cpus (Athlon XP and a Sempron).

One is running 32bit xp and the other 2003 server and I did nothing special.

this is where i saw that update thing, and after seeing it, i thought i needed... but after all that, it was just the video card driver :o

the blue screen flashed so incredibly fast i couldnt ever get a look at what was going wrong...
