He still leads the nation in rushing by at least 300 yards. He's still in Heisman contention and will probably have a chance at the Doak Walker if he can at least keep up some decent #'s.

Please be quiet, you are embarrasing the other Aggies on the board. Last week you lacked enough Aggie pride to stand behind their 5-1 record, this week you are talking crap about one of the best RB in college Football. Anyone who says Peterson is over rated doesn't pay much attention to stats. He has 752 rushing yards, 8 TD's in just 6 games. He had a 1900 rushing yard/ 15 TD season in 2004 and an 1100 yard rushing / 14 TD season last year with injuries.

I support his not cheering over a KU victory. Ags played well at the end, but at times they were getting worked which even the Ags should not have let happen. Anywho, I strongly disagree that AP is overrated...he's a great player no matter who you cheer for.

Arkansas still has to play LSU and Tenn and possibly in the SEC Champ. Florida still has to play Georgia (not as big now) and FSU (sucks) and probably in the SEC Champ. There's no way Auburn will leapfrog UT as long as UT wins out, considering their only loss was to the #1 team.

I honestly don't know if texas can win out, they have the d to do it but they take plays off too much and all it takes is one team to step up and take adv. I think the a&m game is going to be harder for you guys then you all do. and who ever plays in the title game, only because who plays has nothing to lose so they can do whatever they feel like and not care if they get blown out. much like texas did playing neb.

Yes he got his bell rang, no he didn't hurt and did a pretty good job for his first game against a team who two games later won the title. They were also playing ranked teams just like last year, but for some reason are getting shafted over one loss against the #1 team in the nation.
Big East < Big XII, SEC, Big 10, Pac 10
Every Big 12 to play against the PAC 10 save one game lost this year. The Big 12 is 4-1 OU won one and lost one agaist the PAC 10 all other PAC teams sweeped the Big 12. Heck TT lost to TCU weaker conference, UT played a nail biter against TT, face it the Big 12 need a shot to pick it up.

that is true for any team missing a key player but it doesn't help the arguement
how does it not help this arguement?? If Reid makes his team better than that's a damn fine point to argue if i don't say so my damn self.

Well last year when UT was undefeated and USC was undefeated all the UT fans on here were praising the BCS system as being the most correct. Funny how a year and a loss changes opinions.
Honestly, I don't remember a single person saying that the BCS is the best system. You may have heard it in a different context as in we were ranked appropriately, but there is a huge difference between a correct ranking and the best system. Interesting spin you put on that though :p

I'll put it this way, IF Texas plays in just a regular BCS Bowl Game this year against either Louisville or WVU, Texas will DOMINATE either of those teams and make their ranking look completely stupid.

Ill reserve judgement on ARK until after they get through the toughest stretch of thier schedule.
I thought the Auburn win was really solid, but following that up with SE Mo St, La Monroe, and Ole Miss doesnt exactly help in the SOS department.
With S Carolina, Tenn, and LSU being 3 of thier last 4... They are either going to prove to everyone they are back or finish with 1 big win.
Well see...

Are you kidding UT couldn't dominate TT or Nebraska recently. UT was held scoreless in the 4th Quarter by Iowa State (3-6). OU is having problems this season, my Aggies have struggled all season with 6 come from behind victories, the Big 12 is shaky at best.
UT has only dominated North Texas (2-6), Rice (3-5), Baylor(4-5) and Sam Houston State (4-4). I am not putting down UT as a team they are good but I question your unqualified statement of UT dominating Louisville(7-0) or WVU(7-0). I might see a question with WVU given their opponents but they have dominated everyone in their wake and have zero losses, Louisville also has had a good year.
If you look at the teams each of the teams in question have played then you could think differently. Of all the teams each has played WVU played 2 teams with winning records and 5 teams with losing records, UT has played 4 teams with losing records and 4 teams with winning records, Louisville has played 5 teams with winning records and 2 with losing records. I understand that UT has played ranked opponents as of game day but now the only two teams on the schedule played thus far are still ranked with one ranked opponent left to play. Of the ranked games, Ohio State was a loss and OU a victory but OU has been plagued with issues this season losing Bomar then losing Peterson. That doesn't strengthen UT's case.
I don't feel as though UT would be able to dominate a second half against WVU or Louisville if they fell behind. Have you ever thought maybe UT is just a really good top 10 team not a top 5 team this season? I think McCoy has the potential to be a great QB with more games under his belt and try for another title in the next couple years but not this year. I do not feel that UT would be able to out play Mich or OSU and would even have it's hands very full with USC, Tenn, ND, Florida, WVU, Auburn or Louisville.

The reason Texas' secondary has been bad the past 2 games is they have multiple injuries to starters and are having to play either backups or true freshman.
Once they are back at full strength, they'll be back to their regular shut-down selves.
WVU got exposed tonight by Louisville, plain and simple.

WVU is a run heavy team and Texas has the 2nd best rushing 'D' in the nation.
WVU's defense isn't good by any stretch and would get lit up by Colt and Texas' WR's just like they did tonight against Louisville.

What's the big deal with the number 5 team beating the number 3 team. Louisville has had a stronger schedule than WVU this year anyhow, this isn't really a surprise.

Why would one call them Arkisaw? Where exactly did you attend High School, ever head of phonics? That sounds stupid to be honest, I understand UT grads calling us A&M grads goat fuckers due to the Ag programs or us calling actual UT grads t-sips or even someone calling WVU the hill-billies. I don't see why you elect to spell Arkansas incorrectly? I figure that you in some way feel that it improves your linguistics as a true UT fan or simply is a display of your ignorance. It seems you have elected to validate Arkansas as a true contender versus UT or why else would you or any UT fan go to such effort to put them, down?

No, see the difference is I have a degree from A&M, a ring from A&M and actually graduated from A&M. I truly understand the rhetoric pushed back and forth between the Orange Bloods and Aggies.
I simply inquired as to why you feel the need to mispell Arkansas and the best you can do is the pot calling the kettle black. You have put down Arkansas for over a year now whether you want to admit it or not have placed them in the same league as UT by feeling the need to put them down which shows you feel threatened by their status.
You are a joke on here when it comes to UT and that is at best, you have solid orange blinders that reach into the NFL via VY making you look even more silly. You complain about others out ranking UT, no one disagrees that UT has a great ball club. Unlike you they realize the UT does not merit a number 2 spot over MIch or OSU
Also before you claim I am absurd in defending A&M I must add I am very happy we have 8 wins thus far and no I didn't think we would have that many but I sure did hope we would.

Once again showing your ignorance Pat White is very comparable to VY. He is a sophmore QB for a top 10 ranked team with one loss, a 153 QB rating as a sophmore with over 800 passing yards and 600 rushing yards this season. If you recall in 2003 when VY led #5 UT against #3 OU VY has zero passing TD's, 4 INT's, 1 rushing TD, 135 yards passing and 127 yards rushing oh yes UT lost 65-13. We can talk about 2004 if you like VY had 86 yards passing and 54 yards rushing.
Tonight Pat White 222 passing yards and 125 yards rushing. If you compare him to VY during the same tie frame and not jsut VY's last season then it is a good comparison. Stats don't lie Venom.
