I've been kind of torn on this decision as well and for the same reason. I guess it will come down to who can enforce their game plan the best. But I guess if I had to pick one right now I would go with Chuck.

Rampage chased Chuck all over the ring and was actually winning the striking battle. Very similar fight to Chuck/Randy I. Chuck eventually gassed, couldn't prevent the takedown, and lost due to GnP. I just don't see Tito being able to do that. His striking is not going to improve that much between now and December or the end of his career for that matter.

If I was single, I'd fuck her (given the opportunity), but I could never be in a serious relationship with her knowing how many dudes got to do that shit, and knowing how many thousands of people can watch it any day of the week if they have a DVD player. But to each his own.
As for the fight, I'd like to see Chuck win, but I hope it's very close. I think it will be. Tito appears to be stronger/better conditioned, but I'm no expert. That may not make a difference anyway if Chuck lands the right punch(es).

Tito will win if Chuck goes down and Liddell can be taken down, Randy proved it in their first fight. Chuck hasnt even taken a good shot to the head since that fight with randy. Right now Ortiz is on top of his game. He's humbled himself and training with one motive on his mind-getting his belt back. Chuck hasnt had a "fight" since he got beat by randy. I really think Tito is unstoppable right now and frankly hopes he gets the belt back. He has grown up alot since his reign as champ, besides....ive liked watching Chuck knock some guys out, but never really liked him as a "champ" figure.

He beat a washed up Ken Shamrock 2 times. If there was another round to his fight with Forrest, then he would have lost the decision... how is that on top of his game?
Chuck on the other hand is peaking right now. He smashed Randy 2 times, beat Jeremy Horn, Vernon White, Babalu, etc. Much more impressive that Tito's last few fights.

No way Chuck is going to walk through Tito like he did his last several fights. If you want to put it that way, most of Chucks last fights have been washed up contenders. His only challenge would have been Babalu-and he got lucky and caught him. I do think that Forrest won the fight, but Im sure Ortiz had the returning jitters. Shamrock was still in world class shape and still a world class athlete and I dont think that just anyone in the UFC could walk through him as easily as Ortiz did.

bwhahah an old washed up 185lber Sakuraba ko'd Shammy almost as fast as Tito. Thats not saying much..I'll post the video later. Tito smashed him 3 times. Rich Franklin made him his bitch too. Shammy hasnt been competitive since the early UFC days..
Horn was the #1 fighter at 185 when he moved back up to 205 to fight Chuck. Randy was at the top of 205 when he fought Chuck both times. Babalu was the #1 contender when he fought Chuck the 2nd time... So i dont know where you are saying he fought washed up contenders. LMAO

I say this coming from 8 years of martial arts experiance-Im a brown belt in Kenpo. Chuck has good take down defense but has NO technicley sound MMA skills. HE throws haymakers, has heavy hands, and gets lucky

Chuck has the following:
-Purple belt in BJJ
-Good wrestling base
-Excellent sprawl (probably the best at 205 in the world)
-Great chin
-Very heavy hands
What else do you require to have technically sound MMA skills?

All he wants to do is throw and if you get passed that he's in trouble and he knows it-why do you think when someone goes down on their back he just backs up so they can stand.........cuz he wants no part of anything but slugging. Randy and Horn BOTH proved that.

Chuck has never shown any skills in BJJ, cant fight in the clinch. I agree he has a good sprawl.....great chin is questionable. He is NOT a well rounded fighter I dont give a damn what anyone says.

While in a fight wouldn't it be smart to do what you do best? A purple belt in BJJ means you have a good ground game. Obviously not the best but enough to know what to defend against. A purple belt takes atleast 3years of consistant training to achieve. He has a good ground game it just isn't at the level of Babalu. It would be dumb to fight someone elses fight.

Randy was suffering from Shamrockitus-old and needing to retire. Horn is in the same boat. Ever heard the old saying a fighter only has so many fights in him? There are many well rounded fighters in the UFC. Franklin, Hughes, Swick, Daiz (even though I hate him), St. Pierre, Penn, just to name a few. Chuck is a good brawler-he is.......and I think Oritiz has what it takes to put Liddell on his back and pound him out. Im sorry if you dissagree......we will see who is right in december

Chucks at his best when he's striking. He's a clearly superior striker than all of his last opponents so why would he want to go to the ground where he does not have the advantage? He can hold his own on the ground but against people like Randy and Renato Sobral he would not have the advantage he does standing. He is a fairly well rounded fighter but he's no Fedor (no one is). I am not a fan of chuck by any means, but I think that anybody who thinks he gets "lucky" fight after fight after fight is just plain ignorant. He may not have superior ground skills, but with his takedown defense he doesnt need a whole lot of ground skills. Taking all things into account, I have to go with tito in this fight. In their first fight tito was injured & he didnt stick to his game plan. Tito tried to stand toe to toe with chuck. The reason I think tito will win is because even though he has been fighting a washed up has been ( 3 times in the past year now sheesh) he still appears to be in great shape mentally and physically. If tito sticks to the plan, works the jab and the leg kicks, he should be able to get chuck to the ground. Chuck's grounds skills arent the best, but he does have a pretty solid guard. But who does more damage while in the guard that tito? Most guys get to the ground and their primary goal is passing guard to side position or full mount before they take things to the next step, tito doesnt bother trying to pass most of the time, he is comfortable and capable of dropping bombs in the guard.
Tito beats chuck in round 4.

I say this coming from 8 years of martial arts experiance-Im a brown belt in Kenpo. Chuck has good take down defense but has NO technicley sound MMA skills. HE throws haymakers, has heavy hands, and gets lucky

IMHO Chuck by TKO. I don't think tito's up to chucks standup level yet, and i'm fairly confident that chuck can handle his own on the ground.

Who cares Forrest is coming for bothe there ass's :D . This is a dude that KO's a fighter as he was in an arm bar WITH A BROKE ARM! so he beats the shit out of them with the other arm. This kid just keeps getting better.

Randy was suffering from Shamrockitus-old and needing to retire. Horn is in the same boat. Ever heard the old saying a fighter only has so many fights in him? There are many well rounded fighters in the UFC. Franklin, Hughes, Swick, Daiz (even though I hate him), St. Pierre, Penn, just to name a few. I think griffin makes a good poster boy for the ufc, he has charisma and helped bring ufc mainstream so to speak with TUF1, but that in no way puts him in the same league as tito or chuck.

I'v been a MMA fan since UFC #1, hell Im slill a Tank Abbott fan even if he did just get KO'd. Tito has one hell of a ground game so I guess I'm the only person on earth to see Griffin GET UP OUT OF IT!!!!!!!!!!! and then out box Tito and deffend is take down. Joe Rogan saying Griffin is getting more points with his boxing than Tito. Yea I think this puts him in there league! I'm the first to admit Tank is his own worst enemy :( In his prime he could have been devastating with his power and street style if he would have been open minded enough to accept more than just one way of fighting but that's all over at his age in a combat "sport". But in his first fight at ufc 6 things had gotten stale, remember no pride or other mma in the US Tank brought that OH SHIT factor back into it and that helped keep it alive with 600 Lb press and "I dont respect any one KO's".

Back then UFC wasn't an MMA event, it was a free for all throwdown, and who better to dominate than a street based free for all fighter? He was going up against guys strictly trained in one area of fighting. Same with Royce. He was very dominate because no one knew anything about jiu jitsu, no way to defend against it, etc... Which today we've seen that people actually train to avoid going to the ground very well, i.e. Chuck, or some have a more dominant take down offense, which keeps them from being taken down, i.e. Tito, and some have great jiu jitsu of their own, and can play the defensive or offensive roll, almost everyone :)

Excellent point about tank. As far as the old days of ufc you are also correct. Take a virtual nobody like chris leben and put him in ufc 1. Leben would have came across like a god the same way gracie's did with their unknown bjj style.

When? Don't plan on it anytime soon. Dana White being the moron that he is announced that fight and never bothered to actually agree to terms w/W. Silva contract-wise. That fight was never inked and doesn't look like it will anytime soon.

easy there Matty. Pride has fucked around for quite a while. Its a smart business decision for Dana. He wants a 3 fight deal with Wandy but Pride wont lend him for that long. Pride owes UFC a shit load of fighters. UFC was more than happy to loan their guys out. I'm still waiting for Fujita and Sakuraba to fight in UFC. Pride promised that a few years ago. lmao
