Where are some other places in DFW that have good prices on aftermarket OEM stuff? Also, if anyone on here is on DFW Sportbike, you've probably seen all the complaining about a couple of motorcycle shops not doing a good job, so which shop do you guys prefer or recommend for minor work IE brakes, chain/sprocket installation, etc...
Thanks

SLM (straightline Motorsports) on pioneer parkway, between fielder and Bowen, by that blue Cooper Tire store, across from Mountain Sports. he does dirt and street, parts and work. Good guy, good prices. Ask for Todd - 817-275-2228.

stuff like that is so simple, you should learn to do it yourself as long as you have a garage to work in. i trust myself way more than others as far as basic mechanical skills go.

but if i had to recommend a shop, i'd say cyclewerkz in ft worth.

A lot of bikes things are SUPER easy to work on. You can change your front pads in less than 10 minutes. Who wants to pay $65/hr shop labor with a minimum for that???

If you own a motorcycle, especially a sportbike or harley, you should have a garage or keep the bike in a storage unit to prevent theft. No exceptions, that and a small set of handtools is all you will ever need to do just about any maintenance there is outside of adjusting valves and changing tires. Both of which you can also do yourself and it's not nearly as hard as you think.

Scott at CycleWerkz does Great work if you are in Ft. Worth, or Zach at Nortex cycles in Dallas.

How many of yall are on DFWsportbike.com? I've heard good things about cyclewerkz, but GMH and Nortex have been bitched about on DFWSB.com by other riders, thats the only reason i ask about other places. I've been to nortex for all my past needs, was going to start trying out GMH but then all the complaining i heard scared me....

I can't find Cyclewerkz number anywhere, does someone here have it ??

I went to garage mahall to try them out even though everyones been bitching about them lately and now i see why. . what shitty management/customer service. for future reference and to anyone looking to go there for motorcycle service, IT IS NOT WORTH THE RIDE!

Try Julian or Zack at Nortex ,, they will hook u up.. and will treat you like a friend... i have never seen people bitch about Nortex.. but i have been there when i see lotsa fools go in and ask for 2984787432147 prices and everytime u give them a price they say.. well i can get it cheaper at blah blah blah... lmao..

ANyways.. GMH aint worth the drive.. if u are in FTW.. i would hit Scott at cycle works for sure..
