Careful on the "lifetime subscription". It's only on the original reciever, not transferrable. So If you ever have an equipment problem you're screwed!!$500 lifetime subscription

Not true. You may transfer the subscription 4 or five times but they MAY charge you a fee of 6 mo ($75) for transferring. A few of my customers have transferred based on theft, broken, etc and have not been charged. As long as you have the product for 38.5 months, you have gotten your money's worth anyway. I tell people to buy radios and add sirius brains to them (rather than putting a lifetime subscription on a portable they can drop, lose, etc) if they want the lifetime subscription. That way, no moving parts, no buttons, etc to wear out. If the radio breaks or you want a new one just plug it in and keep going with the same Sirius tuner. Also, if you use the Directed Sirius units like SIR-ALP1, SIR-KEN1, etc half of the unit is the sirius tuner and the other half is the radio interface. If you want to change from Alpine to Kenwood, just buy the new kenwood compatible sirius tuner, take the alpine and kenwood sirius units apart, swap the parts, reassemble, and now you can sell the alpine tuner.
We have life time. Paid $300.

Hey EW. My wife has a xm ready sony receiver and I want to get a sirius brain for her car, will it work or do I need to get a new receiver for her car?
Also who makes a DIN dvd player that also plays mp3s? I may just give her my setup and get a dvd mp3 receiver if they are not gonna break the bank
