ring tones for dummies

i searched saw a some post on custom ringtone/mp3 for the razr, but can not figure it out completely. i have mptrim but can not get the part of the song i want. and then how do i get it on to my phone.

I use Audacity (Google it... it's freeware) to trim mp3's for ringtones.

To get it on the phone you either need bluetooth capability or a cable to connect the phone to your computer (I think you can also attach it to an email and email your phone). It has been a while since I've had a Motorola phone so I don't remember if you need to have their Mobile Phone tools installed on your PC to make it work.

Motorola Phonetools also works really well, I use it to do this sort of thing with my wife's razr.
