That sucks and I am sorry to hear it. Thieves suck.

You folks ever thought about getting lojack? Isn't it like a one time fee of $700. I think I would look into it even if I had full coverage.

It was flawless too, just changed the oil and cleaned the chain and what not. What do these theives do with these bike? Part them out or try to drive them or send them away or what?

There was a guy here at work that had his R6 stolen the day he got it from the dealer on a credit card and didnt have insurance yet.. guy wrecked it in Wylie 5 months later and is now paralized.. (deserves it) But I talked to the Lo Jack installer that has done the Shelby 500's up here at the shop and he said that if you go to the Lo Jack install center, they knock the price down to 499.

Lojack is worthless, cycletrak is the only decent one, get the full meal deal from them.

Then after it's installed go back and hide the sending unit yourself. It's smaller than a pager and the batteries are self contained. Stick it under the airbox, in the airbox, anywhere but under the seats or in the tail section.

EDIT - you can also track cycletrak REAL TIME from a PC. Lo-Jack is only activated once you file a police report and then call lo-jack. That's a lot of time lost right there. You can track the cycletrak system anytime AND do it yourself.

I don't know how much truth there is to it, but I've heard that Lo-Jacks coverage area isn't near as great as they claim. I've headr that if you leave major cities it's not tracking anymore. I'm not sure if that's true or not, just what I've heard.

Cycletrak all the way :D

I think it's a Dallas based company too.

I've also heard once a lo-jack car leaves the major metropolitan area it's in, the sensor stops xmitting. I'm sure the theives know where the service blacks out on those kinds of things.. bastards.

Lojack also wants you to pay $99 every two years for maintenance.
