This why I don't like watching the news sometimes. A Dem from Texas said "don't get fooled into thinking the Republicans can control fuel prices and are helping the lowering of the prices that it is just the normal market change and it will go back up". In the same breath she says " It is because of the policies of this Republican administration that the fuel prices were so high".
Ummm dumbass you just said the Republicans don't control the fuel prices that it is just the market... Which is it???

Aren't the dems the ones blocking oil exploration? Blocking wind power projects? Allowing the tree huggers to enact legislation thru the EPA making it cost prohibitive to build new refineries?
That is retarded. Sadly, that's typical liberal self-contradiction though. Look at the director of the WTC movie (I forgot his name). He made that movie, then in Spain proceeded to tell the Spanish media that he is disappointed in this country. Typical liberal bull shit. I'm getting tired of it.

Down with penny pinching tree huggery!

This is true but remember that Bush got his money from the oil business and is still part of it so when prices are high he makes more money. Basically were F*CKED either way.

The point of this thread is that the left things that it is Bush's fault when gas prices go up, and when it goes down it is Bush trying to make his ratings go up. BUSH HAS ZERO CONTROL OVER GAS PRICES.

Perhaps; I don't have knowledge of bush's current investment portfolio. But the original quote blamed republican policies and I was just pointing out that our government in total (dems, repubs, and all others) has not addressed our current energy situation with a cohesive energy policy. It's not a repub/dem issue. None of them have taken a bold stand, except to tell us where we will not be allowed to explore. Meanwhile, china is drilling off our southern coast in waters that we are prohibited from exploring. Dumb, eh?

Well we are lucky that Cheney's Northrop Ratheon X302 Hurricane machine was down this year due to parts be unavailable. :D

Yep...he'll just have to "double up" next year. I do wonder why hurricanes prior to this administration didn't create rediculous gas price increases tho. Not

You seem to have forgotten that Bush controls gas prices. Every day, after walking his dogs, he sits down at the computer and inputs what the gas prices for that day should be. It's clockwork.
