I've had both, and i like my R1 better. It just feels more aggresive to me.

GSXR...I like the riding position better. But it is all up to personal pref. and how the bike feels to you.

Ride both..the GSXR would be my only choice. I would never own a Yamaha.

Ride both, best advice you can get. All bikes really are so close that it's all up to personal preference.

I've never been a fan of Suzuki engineering, so many things seem like an afterthought when the plastic is off. However, with the 05+ 1K and 06+ 600/750 - That has all changed. So much more simple and neat under the bodywork now, I'm impressed.

I've never liked Yamaha styling, but the 04+ R1 is pretty damn hot from a distance. Up close, it's too "busy" looking for me. The 04+ feels big and wide. Which is funny, I used to complain about how big and wide the GSXRs were, but starting with the 03+ 1K they've narrowed up. 05 1K and 06+ 600/750 styling sucks IMO though.

I love my R6 but ive seen quite a few of the 06 gxr1000 run and there strong as hell, i would be torn between Zx-10 or Gxr1000.

Gay exhaust is easily fixed, but that wale tail is FUGLY, and it's not like you can just slap a race tail on, they are even WORSE,YACK!

I don't like the styling of the Yamaha's the '06 R6's look pretty nice now, but I couldn't own a 6. The riding position isn't right for me either. If I weren't going to own a Suzuki it wouldhave to be a Honda

I am not really stuck on anything yet...thats why i am looking for info/opinions.. if i did end up with a 600 it would probably be a R6... has anyone rode a ZX636? I think i would be happier with a bigger bike( i am 6ft 230lb) i have not given the ZX10 a chance...maybe i will look into it

first thing you need to do is sit on each one. riding them all would be nice, but at least sit on each of the liter bikes and see how you like the riding position. give each one a chance, they are all great bikes. you should really base your decision on what YOU like, your preference for the ergonomics, looks, etc.
