The Dallas Cannonball III will be September 30th 2006
Time: 8:00 PM
Location: Mi Cosinas, SE corner 635 and MacArthur in Irving.
The cannonball is NOT A RACE, rather a social event that involves a spirited drive! you do not need a fast car, nor do you need to speed. The cannonball concludes with a party at the end.
the drive will take about an hour, same route as last time. I will have maps.
The drive will end at Chausers in Addison, Beltline and the tollway, in their parking garage.
Also have a prize for most unique car to finish the run.
and other prizes as well!!!

Wanna ride on the roof? Bet we could fit your couch up there. ;)

It wasn't fun last time. Lot's of regular Mitsubishi Lancer-type cars passing people on a full highway on the side of the road.
any others make it last time?

Yes please, but only if you can find room to strap my cooler up there.

If those holes you made for, um..'working out' as you call it, are still there, I'm sure they will hold your drinks just fine.

Some people will choose to drive faster than others. The only incident we have ever had was a highly modified Porsche catching a nail in his sidewall. We did spot a charger pulled over on the side of the road with body damage, but we did not see him at the meet before hand so I can't say what happened with him.
You decide how fast you want to go :) That's the beauty of it. No entrance fee, no pressure. We will give you the map and you can do whatever you want haha :D
If anything, you can come out and see someone of the rides. I'm pretty sure we'll at LEAST have the Twin Turbo Viper and one of the R34 Skylines there. Those are always pretty to look at.

So because that's the only thing that HAS happened doesn't mean this isn't a Stupid idea with tragedy written all over it. Look at the Texoma Poker Run.
I'm just saying, this has FUBAR written all over it. There are too many stupid people in this world.

You'd be suprised at the amount of domestics. There was a surplus of Z28's, SS's, GT's, Cobras, Corvettes, and GTO's last time. We're hoping for a bigger turn out this time.
You guys have to understand that yes, anything can happen. But that's the risk you take EVERYTIME you get into your car. Even when you're on the strip, something can happen. Something can always happen.
Thank god nothing has gone wrong, but it's up to participants to make sure their car can handle it. Check your fluids, check your oil, check your tire pressure.. it's your car and you need to maintain it, thats just a fact.
We do recommend people bring walkie-talkies (we generally are all on one channel) and we can communicate road conditions, traffic, and lane closures like that. We try to take as many precautions as possible, but again, there's always a risk in anything. When you fly, there's a risk. When you go swimming at the beach, there's a risk. When you ride a horse, there's a risk. There is always a risk no matter what.
