I have been staying off the "FFW Sucks" band wagon for a while.
But after this weekend I will have to jump on!

Only 40ish cars in True Street. Was close to 80 last year if I remember right?
Vendors Midway (or what was supposed to be) was a joke! Only 2 aisles and slots half full of crap.
No large fields except in MM
Sunday was a bigger Joke!
The stands were freaking deserted!
And half the "Vendors" didn't even come back for set up on Sun!

Plus side= Car show was good and the actually running of True Street was the quickest and smoothest in the past 3 years!

Even heard a rumor that this might be the last year for FFW Ennis?

we got Steve's car into the top twnety on truestreet, and i believe i can say we because i am 1/3 responsible for it. one of the FFW guys came and got some info from him took some extra pictures of it, so hopefully there will be a small picture and caption in the Rag, i mean mag :o . i got some videos from this weekend and hope to be posting them soon. it was not really a terrible week over all till the rain hit as we were packing stuff to go home. will i go next year? unless a friend has car to race, probaly not, but it was still not a bad weekend all in all.

The turnout wasn't huge, but I'll be honest, I still had a really good time.

I was cheering for a couple of the Fatal Performance guys, and I got to spend a lot of time with my parents showing my car in the car show.

A few reasons for the low turnout could be the NHRA event next weekend(people only being able to afford one event) of those who were scared of the threat of rain(and boy did we get it on Sunday!)

If any of ya'll were browsing the car show area, I had the orange '89 GT. I ended up getting Top 25 People's Choice on Saturday, and Best Paint and MM&FF Editor's Choice awards on Sunday. Oh yeah, can't forget to mention the nice "tan" I got :cool:

So like I said, not a ton of cars or people, but I still had a good time watching all those Fords flying down the track and meeting all the nice people.

Nice runs Chris on that Mystic considering you are on 18s, I think with some Big N Littles you would have been in the 11s no problem.

I have to admit I am a fan of the Mystic Cobra's, I still think my car look BETTER :D But yours is not to far behind. ;)

Actually they are Torqe Thrusts IIs that are powder coated black. Not Bullets but I could see how someone could confuse them

this was my first FFW event, and I had a friggin blast! even with the rainout on sunday, it was an experience to say the least...watching 200+mph cars while sitting in the top end bleachers was bad ass!

We took a friend's 96 GT (blue) and ran it in quick ford. she lost by .015 in 2nd round to the white coors light fox. sunday it went into the 13.60s in time trials. best here in lubbock is 13.70s....so we were happy to get a quicker time. she got a whopping $18 on sunday, but she left with more than she came with so screw it.

definately want to make it again next yr, if it happens.
