Increased my mph...
Dropped my 60' some...
Dropped my E.T. quite a bit...
This is my 3rd time to the Redline 1/8 mile track and 5th time to a track altogether.
Here are my timeslips from me very first time to the track at Redline. Same boost as above.

Yup, but I trap 15-20mph higher on the lowest boost setting with 19's street tires. :D
nice ride.. now learn to drive it better on short runs ;)
8.0 at 104 is skootin'

I'm trying. Redline is the closest to me and Saturday nights are a joke. Maybe best getting in 3-4 runs.
When they bring back Wednesday night TNT, I'll be there every Wednesday. I just got my Simpson catalog today so I'll be getting a Helmet and fire suite soon, for those trips to Ennis, so I don't get kicked out.
I need more SEAT time.

I imagine the D/A was a little better from your previous runs, hence your better mph.
I would start keeping track of that also to compare. It's always great to set a new best at the track. :D

That is a crazy mph for being on "low boost" settings. It is gonna haul ass when you can leave on the power and put it to the ground. Was it spinning really bad?

Just wondering if it was from bogging or spinning real bad.

Spinning, that's how I get a higher trap. I've done both and E.T. is slightly better if I spin out of the hole instead of bogging or letting it go easy and waiting for the boost to spool up 1/4 way down the track.

What boost controller are you running and what is your max boost on that turbo? I have the same one and most say its good for about 25psi. I guess volume has alot to do w/ the amout of max boost you are seeing.

I'm running a simple HKS EVC EZ 2 EBC. It just has 2 dials and a push button switch for two boost settings. The turbo reaches the top of it's efficiency map at 36psi. But I have seen poeple push 40psi out of before it start to blow just hot air.
The highest I have ever taken it is 32psi because that's about 85% duty cycle of my fuel injectors. I don't want to go any higher in case an injector start to get lazy. Larger injectors and a 3rd in-tank fuel pump is in the works before I crank it up to 40psi.
Low boost for me is 16psi on a 1 bar wastegate spring.

Thats crazy that you can get that much boost out of that turbo. That turbo is rated to 1200hp. Have you ever seen that turbo make more or is 1200 the max. Maybe will produce boost up the around the 1200 hp mark and then no more?

I love your car but you gotta get some tires so you can leave on boost. Those times are embarrasing for a 600+ car. I was running those kind of times with my full trim (including spare tire) 02 that was only 350 to the tires, and I'm not track junkie. Well not yet, getting my fox ready for next season.
Don't get me wrong, your doing great but get some tires. In fact come buy my nittos on stock 02 gt rims.

Turbos always rate the HP at the crank. So 1200hp would be at about 1000rwhp.
I could reach that mark, but it woudl take a lot of $$ and change alot of factors. The biggest restiction I have is my intake, Throttle body and intercooler.
I still have my stock intake, which I choose to stayt with. They do have larger and more efficient intake which would increase the hp on the top end, but then result in me spooling up later. Basically make me laggier which isn't ideal for the street.
Then I would need to go from a 3 row to a 4 row intercooler which is less restrictive and that goes along with a larger throttle body.
So what's the solution for more power without spending a lot of $$ and still make is streetable? NITROUS!!!! :D

Well, I really built my car for the street. If were to really get serious and crank up the boost, I will need to rebuild my entire rear supsension, put slicks on it. MY Eibach springs are just too stiff to get any decent weight transfer and I do like taking turns FAST. I life to go fast around turn as well and not just in a straight line.
THis car is my weekend warrior. To cruise around in, get good gas mileage (it's still get's 26mph, but I always run C16 so good gas mileage is a must), take the targo top off, relax and wax about 90% of cars out there that are driven on the street.
If I was going to build a drag supra, it would have a whole different route, like a TH400 or a powerglide instead of staying with the 6spd.

Getting better Allen... an 8.0 with your top end is about a 11.4-11.6... about half a second off where you were! Thats cruisin! I better hurry up and race you before you are running in the 10s! With you switching to high boost after traction, it would probably crank an 11.2 now!
Fuck it, we're running from a stop, I have no chance from a roll anymore. :p

Ehhh, i guess so. Thats ricer territory there. ANYONE can get on the highway and push the gas pedal to the floor. Getting it to hook from a dig is where all the challenge is. Ricers just dont have the tourqe to do it so they rely on racing on the highway and giving street racers a bad name in the process.

Hell yea it is, you get a lot more runs in, and don't have to worry about hitting people standing on the streets to watch, or johhny law swooping in with squad cars and helicopters like Regal or Shady back in the day. :o

We don't race ricers... we all have over 600 hp, most over 600 rw, and have problems on street tires from rolls... Hell I spin my street slicks till about 70 and I'm not that fast.

Never said you guys did race ricers. I simply stated that racing on the highway is ricer territory, as in that is what they all do. They cant compete with V8's from a dig due to lack of tourqe and lagging turbos so they wanna do it on the highway. Ill take my chances hitting people on the side of a road at >100mph than hitting families who had no choice to be put in the situation on the highway at 150+mph.
Just my $.02 but racing on a public highway is irresponsible and immature. You guys need to learn to build chassis's better instead of worrying about who can put the most power into a stock chassis.

Well if your chassis is all that then why not run from a dig? And your telling me there are never other people on the highway during these runs? I find that hard to believe. Hell, just about every video I have ever seen of the infamous dallas highway runs I see other cars being passed by. Sorry but that dont fly with me.

Eh, call it what you want? Do you think I bought and built my car just to race? I have a Lexus as my DD and this car is my weekend cruise warrior. You, know just cruising the street. I didn't buy and build me car specifically to race poeple. I have everything a DD has on my Supra. A/C, power sterring, cruise control, spare tire and jack, stereo, pwr everything, leather pwr seats, etc.
It's fun driving the car and when I am heading down the highway to the movies or to bar/club with a date in my car, it's fun blowing the doors of off 99% of the cars out there on the street. I take it to the track just for kicks but it's always going to be a street car. Plus, this stop light to stop light street dig racing is just too risky with johny law and other traffic. On the hwy, its open and less traffic as STROKD says. I get 26mpg on this cruiser. There's more to a car than just racing it.
