What is the best way you have found to hook up a MP3 player in your vehicle without buying an aftermarket cd player? I have a Creative Nomad.

thanks in advance

RF modulator or a cassett adapter if you have a tape deck.

Depends upon what car and what radio you have. What is the year make and model of car? Does your radio have an AUX button?
If there is an adapter available, they are usually around $150. You could use a hardwired FM modulator with a 1/8" headphone jack for about $60. Hardwired sounds much better than wireless FM modulation.

Where is the best place to get the modulator? What all does it take to install?

A modulator is a last resort. What kind of car, radio? Answer EW's questions and you'll get a better answer. Most cars these days have the option of controlling auxillary devices and the aftermarket offers many different adapters.

Peripheral Electronics AUX2CAR $99 retail -includes 1/8" jack
Peripheral Electronics PXHCH3 $19 retail -harness for Jeep

*PRESET #1 MUST have "DISC^" printed on it. If you have a 6 disc changer connected now, it will be disabled.

Basically the factory deck thinks your MP3 player is a changer and the audio plays through the AUX input on the back of the deck. Better sound qualiity than a modulator. I'm sure there are other brands of AUX input adapters for you as well.
