I'm currently working in Plano and living in Burleson so it leaves me no time to install my new system but plenty of time to want to listen to it... Can anyone recommend a shop somewhere near or in between these areas? I'm looking for good quility, emphasis on wire management and obviously reasonable prices.
Here's what I need done, It's going in a 2002 Lexus IS300:
Double din deck install (self contained unit, no seperate brain)
One mono sub amp / run set of RCAs
One 4ch Amp / run two sets of RCAs and front speaker wires back to harness at factory amp in kick panel
Set of 6.5" component speakers
Set of 6x9s
Install sat radio tuner and antenna
Mount amp gain controll
Connect and mount bluetooth controller
Connect and mount AUX input jack
Build and carpet amp rack
Build and carpet custom box for one 10" L7
Any suggestions and guestimate on how much something like this should run...if it gets too pricey I may just take a day or two off work to do it myself but would prefer not too. Thanks

I'll try them...they did the Clifford alarm on my lightning, good job no complaints. I was just looking for other shops so i could get some quotes.

Eric has done every single vehicle that I've owned since I met him. They are VERY good, and I would not take my stuff to anyone else!

Sup Nick! Long time no talk. Another vote of confidence for EW. You should hear the system he put together for me in my SuperCrew. He's also done some work on my Convertible but that hasn't run in a couple of years now, hell it seems like I remember driving out to your house as one of it's last trips

EW is who you need to talk with. At first I thought the votes were like people hanging off another group's nads. However, EW and his shop do good work at very competitive pricing. In my case it was cheaper to use his shop for an install then to use the standard shops in the area. Good shop!
I use Mobile Electronics for everything and have had excellent results, 817-265-1282. I wouldn't hesitate using EW either though.

Yeah, Monte is ok. ;)

You know he actually said the same thing about you. Something to the effect that if he didn't own a stereo shop and needed work done he'd see you.
I've known him since the early 90s when Autosound had a Hulen store. Really good guy then and he's an even better guy now with a lot more control over the products he sells.

So I guess Barry doesn't run the place anymore? Ya, I have been out of the loop on them for a while now.
I bought stuff from them over off of Cooper, until I actually had a bad experience with Monte. It's been almost ten years ago, lol. I haven't been back (and won't as long as EW is around), but I do remember them being a quality shop. I really liked the Hulen Autosound, too, but I can't remember the dude I dealt with over there.
One thing that sets Eric apart from the rest, is that he is willing to take the time to explain how things work, and why you do/don't need them. I know a good bit about car audio now, but when I first started going there a few years ago, I was still a newb. A lot of guys in other shops can come off as arrogant and seem like they are annoyed by people that aren't all-knowing car audio geniuses like they are. The money spends the same though.
