Ohio, here I come!

Looks like I'll be working at a flagging station or two at the National Auto Sport Association's national championships in Ohio next weekend.

Looking at the registration numbers, it looks like we'll have a field of 62 cars in the American Iron and Camaro/Mustang challenge run group. That's a HUGE number of cars all on the track at one time!

I hope all the Texas guys do well -- there's some seriously stiff competition for these guys, but the Tx group are all busting their ass to make a good showing.

One guy rolled his car at TWS last month. The car was wadded up pretty good, but the driver came away uninjured. He and his partner built another car and finished it up a little while back, has taken it to a shake-down event, and has it prepped and painted for nationals. That's really haulin' ass!

Another thing -- I was just out at the NASA championship web site. So far, there's $569, 875 in contingency prizes up for grabs. Not bad, for amateur racing, huh?
