I know it is 8 plus days out but what the heck the UNT scrimmage is BS and we all know it. Let us talk about how UT will deal with Troy Smith and will the Ohio "D" be anywhere near as good as it was last year. Of course the other question is given the fact that the VY run factor is no longer an issue will the OSU "D" need to be as good?

Texas has the D advantage, and if they can keep Smith in check then they should be able to pull it out.

Another blow to the Ohio State 'D' is their starting MLB is out for the year with a knee injury. It just happened like 3-4 days ago in practice.

More than likely, it will be another close game like last year, but I honestly see Texas coming out on top in this one on the simple fact that their 'D' will be able to neutralize Troy Smith and Ted Ginn Jr.
