I just got back to Lubbock, and went to the gym... the same gym I've been going to for the past two years.

Apparently over the summer, the owner bought into the Planet Fitness franchise, which is run by a bunch of pussies.

I walked in, and the entire place was purple and yellow. They repainted everything. Do you know exactly how bad those two colors are together, especially when entire walls are solid colors???
PURPLE AND YELLOW

Even all of the machines are purple and yellow.

They took out all dumbbells over 80 lbs. They now have more cardio equipment than any gym should ever have. They took out all of the Hammer Strength machines. They took out the decline benches... it goes on and one.

They even have signs stating that "This is a judgement free zone."

And get this... on one wall, they have a HUGE sign with a flashing light, which I can only assume is actually hooked up. It reads:

*flashing light*

LUNK ALARM

Lunk (lunk) noun. - Someone who grunts, drops weights, or judges.

My God. I couldnt decide if it was more like a circus or a daycare

It was angering me just to be in there.

Oh yeah,

Yeah, that's the plan.

It used to be Reaction Fitness, and my contract with them was set to end in September. Now that they went pussy, they are only charging $10 a moneth... but even though it's the same owner and everything, they want us to pay a $50 "transfer fee."

Fuck that.

bawhahahah! You so go to a vagina gym.

Ugh. You're being a fucking hooker, and not helping my anger...

but that's OK, because I would do the same thing if this happened to someone else. :D

Hahahahha, are you serious? What kind of real gym doesn't have over 80lb DB's? I would fucking bust out laughing and walk out. They painted the machines to match? You gotta be kidding.

Wel, I did spot two 100 lb dumbbells...

They had them outside, as anchors for the banners.

haaaaaa, It used to be called Gym-X, then Reaction, now I guess it's changed again!
Is David still managing up there?
I used to personal train there back when it was called Gym-X.
Back in the day, they only had dumbbells up to 110 lbs anyways!
Is Zach, Jason, and Tanner still training up there?
Man, that place used to be FULL of hookers!
Does "Gemini1769" still workout up there?
If you've seen him, you will remember his strange ass!
We used to always call him "vato"!!! hahaha
Oh the memories of Lubbock...

I got one for ya.
The gym I go to now actually has a sign that reads:
No sweating
No grunting or loud noises
No cutoff sleeve shirts or ratty clothes

No sweating in the gym, that is the craziest thing ever.

Not for me it's not light hell no. But for a gym, I think they should at least go up to 150s.

FWIW I can rep 115s bench,. It's heavier than a motherfucker to me but there are some pretty big dudes that work out at the gym I go to and I can see how it would be almost frustrating to not be able to go bigger. The guy I work out with reps 130s flat bench, and can bench like 365 or 385 I don't remember the exact number with the bar. I'd say by june-july next year I should be up to repping 130s and I'll probably go over to a Gold's where everyone is a huge dude.

I've been working out since I played football in high school, and I've done the steroid thing years ago so it's not like I just started working out and toss around huge weights like nothing. There are a few machines at the gym though I CAN do the entire stack on. The calf press machine being one of them, I did all 3 sets of 10 tonight at 495
