Just curious to hear everybody's opinions on TUF4 after the first episiode.

Also curious as to who you all think is going to win between Liddel vs Sobral & Griffin vs Bonner

If I lived in vegas and was gonna bet on the fights I would put my money on:
Renato Sobral & Stephen Bonner

not really a fan of liddel, so seeing him get submitted would be cool :D

as far as the griffin bonner fight, i think its gonna be a good one ;)

TUF 4 looks really good. Most of the fights should be very good. The fighters are seasoned veterans that actually want to be there. Look for Matt Serra and Travis Lutter to be in the finals in their respective weight classes.

Liddell will KO Babalu AGAIN. I don't think Bonnar/Griffin II will be like the 1st one. Both of these guys need a win and I see a lot of this fight taking place on the ground. That is a tough one to call but give me Forrest again. I am really not that impressed w/Bonnar at all. He should not be on PPV events and relegated to UFN's.

I think both fights will go the same as they did the first time. I really hope Chuck wins so he can fight Silva next. I have wanted to see that fight for a long time.

I agree. This fight is just a set up for the Lidell/Ortiz rematch.

Griffin/Bonnar - Not interested. Neither of them are my type of fighters that I enjoy watching. They will undoubtly beat the snot out of eachother again, both hoping for that one lottery shot on the other.

I dunno I would much rather see babalu vs ortiz than lidell vs ortiz, especially for the title

Lidell win due to ref stoppage, Forrest will get another decision. As for TUF4 reading the spoiler ruined it for me. I'm looking to David Loiseau vs. Mike Swick, Go Swick! Punches in Bunches!

Don't get too excited. If reports are true this fight is not going to happen anytime soon due to negotiation issues between UFC & Pride.

My picks are as follows...

Babalu beats Chuck
Forrest beats Bonner
Swick Fu beats The Crow - even tho I have a special place in my heart for Dave, since T-shirt jerks actually made some of his shirts for him a few years ago...

Come one Matt. When was the last time you bet on Chuck to actually win? Babalu will have a very difficult time taking Chuck down. Randy could do it in his last 2 fights against him and when he did, Chuck got right back up. Do you think he will submit Chuck or do you think he will be able to stand with him? I think Babalu is a great fighter but Chuck poses a really bad matchup problem for him.

When he faught Vernon White. Only because I'm more of a fan of Randy, Rampage, and Tito. I actually was going for Chuck against Babalu the ffirst time. I'm just really impressed with Babalu lately, and I think he has every bit of a chance. I actually disagree, I think Babalu can stand up with Chuck. Is he as good standing up as Chuck, hell no, is it where he's going to want the fight to be? hell no. But I do think he can stand with him, if need be.

Babalu has been on a roll lately, beating Van Arsdale, Chael Sonnen, Travis Wiuff, Pierre Guillet. Hell, he hasn't lost a fight since Chuck. He even beat Jeremy Horn at an IFC event by decision.

Look at the losses Babalu has had. Chuck, Randleman, Fedor, Overeem, Dan Henderson, all while he was very young. It's almost 4 years after his loss to Chuck, if you think he's the same fighter he was back then, you are sorely mistaken.

I guess I'm just not a Chuck Bandwagoner... So when everyone starts to say how Chuck sucks, I won't be on the bandwagon then either :) ;)

After reading the spread in FW Weekly on Travis Lutter, I'm very interested to him in action. I'd like to see Shonie Carter eat shit. As for Lidell/Babalu, I don't really care. I like Chuck and probably always will, but I want to see someone really challenge him and make him work for a win.

I like the format for TUF4 alot better, they still have the teams but no set coaching going on. I think after the coaching disaster of shamfag in TUF3 they had to do it this way. Randy has already shown he can be an awesome coach, and I am sure St Pierre will be able to add alot for some of these guys. The only downside to all of this is that the winner of each weight class gets a title shot? A couple of the fighters show some potential but none of them appear to be worthy to step into the ring with hughes or franklin, especially not for the title!

how many fights have you seen of each of those guys?

Not many. It just seems to me like this is just a way to give hughes and franklin another padded victory. Last UFN diego was talking about "the belt" , diego may be working to establish himself as a legitimate fighter, he is 18-0 afterall, but diego vs hughes for the title would be a joke. I think matt hughes would destroy poor little diego just as easy as he would any of the welter's from TUF4

Only one way to find out. And I've alway been a fan of Sanchez even if he makes no damn sense when he talks. Karo was by far his best opponent and yes it went all three rounds but he still won on all the judges cards. Looked to me like he never panicked even when he was taking a lot more shots then he is used to and having to spent time with his back on the canvas. Much better fight then when he fought Nick Diaz.

I hope Forrest punishes Bonnar. I hope the Crowe knocks out Swickl. I hope Sanchez gets a fight with one of the top 3 (Penn,Pierre or Hughes) to show everyone that he is not "the champion" as he puts it.

I hope Babalu takes Liddell down and submits him although I dont think this will happen as I think this is just another "money maker" for UFC in Liddell fighting someone he has already beaten before.
If Liddell does fight Wanderlei he will end up getting beat down.

im pretty sure this is ken's last fight. has hasnt been competetive in a while. He has made some new stars by losing to some younger guys so now its his time to go. I'm sure there will some sort of announcement after the fight.

Damn, he should have picked a fight that he could go out in style and a chance of a win. He's just gonna get owned again.

Thanks Ken for contributing to the sport what you did, but it's time for you to move aside for the more evolved warrior.

I believe he had a 3 fight contract w/the UFC starting w/his beatdown from Rich Franklin and this will be his last fight......we can only hope.

What did you guys think of that kid Edwin DeWees' fight from episode 2? Kid bled like a damn pig for about 10 minutes and kept his composure the entire time. He may never be a great fighter, he may never wear a championship belt, but he has a new fan.

That was impressive. Neither guys looked good IMO. I couldn't believe they didn't stop that fight but I was glad to see DeWees win. He seems like a decent fighter but still haven't seen him do much in 3 fights.
