Not too bad of a night. 11-19 for 125 yards 0 TD 0 INT and 4 rushes for 19 yards and 1 TD. Definate signs of improvement from his first game.

Dude got nailed, but it didn't do enough to keep him from getting the ball back and putting it in the end zone.

what was that about preseason, a grain of salt, and 2nd and 3rd string defenses?

Notice I only said it was an improvement from last week. I didn't say anything about him being ready to start.

well he threw one int but got lucky the refs made a call they almost never make. he looked decent throwing to wide open guys and he did make one good throw on the deep out, but most of the guys were so wide open I think I could even throw the ball to them.

Well, when you are throwing to the likes of Roydell Williams, Courtney Roby, and Bobby Wade, you aren't going to have stellar completion #'s.
A perfect example of that was in last week's game against the Saints when VY laid an absolutely perfect 50+ yard pass into Roydell Williams' hands and it looked like he swatted it down because it had cooties.
I'd love to see what VY could do with Drew Bennett and David Givens.

Maybe.
Volek didn't do too well tonight so they may give him more reps in next weeks game.

lol at the cooties comment. He definitely got a "welcome to the NFL" hit but goddamn that was a wicked first step he took when he decided to run.

Did you actually watch the game? Lets see, the series directly leading into halftime VY over threw a wide open guy, fumbled the ball off the snap then doesn't see the underneath guy and almost is picked. Yup he is showing huge signs of improvement.

Is this start of making excuses for VY by blaming everyone else on the team?
So at what point are you going to admit what Vince's nuts taste like in your mouth svt?

No, its the simple fact that he had better recievers at Texas than he has on Tennessee's 2nd and 3rd string. There isn't alot of depth on a team that won only 4 games last year.
Like I said, I want to see him with the first team guys that can actually catch things thrown their way.

How's RM doing? Is he even going to make a NFL roster?

How's RM doing? Is he even going to make a NFL roster?
Here is what it said on EPSN today.
Bengals July 30: Signed cornerback Johnathan Joseph, their first-round pick, to a five-year contract and linebackers Ahmad Brooks and A.J. Nicholson, guard Andrew Whitworth and wide receiver Reggie McNeal to four-year contracts.
Young looked like Cutler was supposed to, more like Van Pelt than a Heisman finalist and national championship game hero. Young was impatient and confused, resorting to panic early, needing much more seasoning and maybe more ability.
So what if he scored a touch down?

wide receiver Reggie McNeal to four-year contracts.
Hmmmmm . . . interesting.
Let's see how this turns out. His problem is that he has the wide reciever mentality of "ME, ME, ME".

They signed him back on July 30 so he could be in camp. They can still cut him from the roster once the teams have to reduce the amount of players allowed on the roster.
His only chance to make it is as a KR on the Bengals and thats going to be hard to supplant Tab Perry or Chris Perry.
So what if he scored a touch down?
He did more than your boy Cutler did. Both had TD's, but Young had more yardage passing and running.
That article is obviously home-town swill because I sure don't call going 6-12 for 99 yards against the Titans 'D' a good job or being composed.
Both players have work to do, but Young obviously has more talent than Cutler and has a proven track record of success.

That's obviously a biased opinion. Though 6-12 for 99 yards and a TD might not be much, 16-22 192 yards and a TD is a little bit better. Cutler will succeed in the NFL. I won't make this a pissing match, just don't think VY scoring a touch down in which he fumbled to himself on is worth making a thread about.

i'd say he has about 26million gaurenteed reasons to say "HA" to that, but that's just me. What does he need a "gegree" for exactly? He already has more money than all of us posting in the thread combined.

Because he said he was going to get one. I guess sticking to your word isn't a big deal in Austin (there's alot of political truth to this joke as well).

Last time I checked, you can go back to school at any time you want. I forget though, you Ags put some sort of time limitation on everything someone says. If it isn't done on your timetable and the way you want it done, the person is a liar and just an overall bad person.
Get a clue. He beat your team every year he played in college and is having more success in the NFL Pre-Season than Reggie McNeal ever will in his entire NFL career, however long that may be.

That pic has been posted on here like 30 billion times over the past 3 years. We've all seen it.
Its pretty pointless too seeing as how VY/Texas whipped the shit out of OU this past year.
If you don't have anything worthwhile to add to the discussion other than "Boooooomer," STFU and go back to soonerfans.com.
