I actually think UT is in a better position than OU regarding the QB situation. Texas still has plenty of good RBs also, so I'd still give them the edge. I guess we'll see what happens.

Have you heard anything about Mustain yet? He's supposed to be doing pretty well in the preseason workouts.

no, the difference is that UT has a proven O-line and OU doesn't. Well, mostly. Cause if that OU line can't block any better than last year, that H-trophy guy will be in world of hurt this year.

and i'm not so sure that's it's McCoy's to lose. Yes, he's ahead of Snead right now, but we all will know more for sure after that UNT game how far ahead he is of Jevan. Personally, i don't care which one plays, Mack just needs to pick one and stay with him. Hopefully after the tOSU game that'll be clear.

Colt is taking 60% of the snaps with the first team offense and is ahead of Snead. He's had a full year behind the clip-board and knows the offense much better than Snead, which Greg Davis has said out of his own mouth.

Texas has yet to do a full team scrimmage so they still have to do that before a major differentiation will occur.

Mack has already said that both of them will play against North Texas. How that play time will be doled out is still up in the air and whether it will be equal or not. I'm leaning towards Colt gets the start and Snead gets the cleanup because that game isn't going to be close.

Either way, both players are better than Paul Thompson and will be more prepared. Thompson is basically going to have 30-40 days worth of time back at QB with the current team vs. the whole entire past 8 months for Colt/Snead.

Its not like Paul Thompson lit it up while he was in there either.

Yeah I would really like to base my hopes off a QB with lots of clip board time, LMAO. I do think Texas will be good this year but how good has yet to be determined. I think if Texas underestimates OU as much as you do, UT's hopes for a Big 12 title or shot for a 2nd National title will end at the Cotton Bowl

I'd much rather be in Texas' shoes having two fully prepared QB's and the best offensive line in the nation over OU's with only 30-40 days of prep and garbage play time experience as well as an offensive line that is in shambles.

McCoy played 2 series going 5/6 for 68 yards with a long of 43 yards to Sweed on the first series.

Snead went 4/8 for 24 yards with a long of 12 to Nate Jones.

Selvin Young rushed 4 times for 56 yards and 1 TD.

Jamaal Charles rushed 3 times for 31 yards and 1 TD.

Not too bad. Next scrimmage will be on Wed.
