As most of you know, Junior is going to retire. Well, think again. Apparently he did also. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/5883090

His best years were when he was back with the Chargers. He's done. Yet another athlete that doesn't know when to call it quits and go out on top.

As long as he accepts that he isnt the same player as he was 7 years ago I think he is in a good situation.

Not everyone is as weak minded as you and just quits on their dreams, rookie

Quit being a moron. You as well as everyone else knows he sucked in Miami and is going to continue to suck in New England.

He's only managed to play 1 full season in the last 3 in Miami and only played 15 games combined in the last 2 (8 and 7 respectively).

He's also only had a whopping 5 sacks in 3 years.

He's done, rookie.

If you could squeeze more money out of your football career, would you? It doesn't sound very dumb to me.

Not if it could potentially cripple me. I'm pretty sure that with a career as long as his, he isn't hurting for money.

He's had a whopping 5 sacks in the past 3 years because he's been playing middle linebacker for most of his career. Evident if you look as he's only had 2 seasons where he put up big sack numbers. He's a coverage/stay at home linebacker, not a blitzing on nearly every down linebacker. Look at Ray Lewis. Best or 2nd best LB in the game, no big sack numbers, why? He plays the middle. The OLB is the ones that get the big sack numbers.

No, he put up those #'s cause he's done. He's a 37 year-old LB who hasn't played a full season in over 2 years. Hang 'em up and be proud of the job you did instead of ending up like Troy Aikman with a Jell-O brain.

I haven't seen him enough to comment on whether he should retire or not, i'm just saying you can't base it on Sack #'s.

He posted better sack #'s than that in 8 different years during his career.

I believe he's had multiple concussions and some knee problems as well.

On a side note, I do think he's a moron for hyping up his retirement like that and having the Chargers do all this shit for him. Then like not even a couple of days later this happens.
