How the hell do you find motivation to workout after work? After spending 8 hours in 100* weather, the last thing I want to do is head to the gym afterwards. I used to go to the gym 4 times a week, now I'm lucky if I go twice. Anyone else lose all motivation during times like this? I need motivation, energy, something. And don't suggest going in the morning, me and getting up at 5 don't mix :)

I used to work out after about 7 hours of being outside. Most of my job was just walking from car to car which could add up to about 8 miles a day. Then I'd go run a mile, then lift for about 30 minutes. The best way is to just not stop. Go straight from work to working out without taking a break of any kind b/c a 10 minute break will turn into 30 minutes, and eventually to a "fuck it".

I wake at 7.. get to work by 7:30 or 8am. I wear full uniform with long pants and sweat like a pig. I do work inside but spend a lot of time in the heat or around hot engine bays. I leave at the earliest 6pm. I usually make it to the gym around 7:30.. get done by 8:30 or 9pm... then I drank my creatine and have a post workout meal.. usually just some sort of lean protein intake and drink plenty of water. Hardly ever make it to bed earlier than 11:30. Then the alarm starts going off again at 6am. Yea it takes me about 30 minutes to realize that it is going off. Some mornings I feel like dead weight but I get a burst after lunch time.

Yea I put a lot of miles on my feet daily also. The shop I work in is F'ing enormous. Coworker wondered one day how the hell I go work out after work. He said all he does is go home and sit on the couch. I told him because I had to do what I had to do.
