best speakers for rear

what are the best bang for the buck speakers for the factory spots in the back of a 91 notch? Will 6x9s fit or only 6x8s? I don't want one of those annoyingly loud systems but just something cause there's nothing in there now.

6x8's will drop in. There are many available in many price ranges. It is best to go to a shop and listen to a few and buy what you like.

Many shops carry many brands. Each will have their own flagship brand. Meaning the brand of choice for them. As EW said, best to visit a few shops, and buy what you like. A good shop will take the time to best suit you to your needs, ie: budget, with or without amp, adding amp in future, etc. Good luck on your purchase

You can put a 6x9 there but you will have to make them fit. The factory size is 5x7/6x8.
