Hmm, IMO moving to Sirius would be a bad choice due to the future of both companies. Yes, I am psychic.

I can't really say anything else due to my job.
Personally though, I have both XM and Sirius on two different vehicles. I have a valid opinion and some accurate facts on both companies. One has some major technical issues and one has a shitty channel lineup. Either way, we're all going to be paying 10 bucks a month for commercial laden radio in the near future anyways. Have you listened lately. Ugh. Especially considering neither company can pay their bills based on sub fees alone. They have to sell ad space to survive. Might as well listen to FM.

Commercial free is only one benefit. Nationwide coverage, the amount and diversity of content available, ability to couple real time traffic info with navigation systems, etc are all reasons to have XM or Sirius. Either is better than FM IMO.

here's my solution to shity XM commercials and the same song rotation every 30 minutes on FM:
MP3 cd player and a free P2P downloading program... costs only about 20cents a CD and i make maybe 2 a month... try it out! beats the shit outa the same songs or monthly subscriptions and its FREE!!! its like each folder is its own station... and if u can play DVD MP3's... o man... just some insight... :p
interesting shit about XM and sirius... wish i could no the hush hush shit tho!! :(

MP3 players are going to take satellite off the maps, IMO. Factory radios are starting to come with hook ups for Ipods and even an assortment of audio accessories. People will get tired of listening to songs they don't like between commercials just like FM. I find that I don't get any more enjoyment out of sat compared to FM especially since I spend all my time flipping between 150 channels trying to find something I like. When I go all the way around the channels, I get to one that is playing the last few notes of a song I love. Damn it!
I only have the services because they are free. I can understand using satellites for technology like nav/traffic, etc but to me radio is archaic no matter what is beaming the signal.
