But to really give you an answer you gotta tell us do you want a Single player experience of Multiplayer or both?

*CoD2 is an amazing SP game, and its online play is great too.
*BF2 (and its expansions) is a pretty good multiplayer game, if you get around all the morons running around and the lack of team work.
*Brothers in Arms (the latest one) I hear is up there with CoD2 but I haven't played it so I don't know first hand.
*Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter takes the cake imo though, amazing visuals, pretty good AI, and all around I love this game!

I like Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter. Online play is pretty good, more of a sniper fest /free for all but still pretty good.

Holly shit I just found this: "Enemy Territory: Quake Wars" while Googling Enemy Territory because I hadn't played it in so long I was thinking about trying it again. Check out the videos.

Otherewise I used to be big into Enemy Territory and I've been playing Black Hawk Down for almost the past 3 years. Outdated I'm sure but I like the game play and I hang out on some specific servers so they know me now.

Yes, quake wars is going to be the shit. It was pushed back until Q1 '07 though, so you'll have to find something meantime...

Operation Flashpoint is my all-time favorite.

BF2 is pretty fun for multiplayer fun.

The others are just shooters with cool effects.
