PCI Wireless Network Card

They should work. I've got my kids using a fry's cheapo airlink usb2.0 wireless device. Range on it isn't too hot but it works and its easy to yank out when I need to take away their internet access :)

I use a Netgear USB 2.0 Adapter on one of my computers at home and it works fine. The only weird issue I have with it is that it will not log into the internet on my Guest User Account unless I initially connect to the internet using my Admin User first and then switch over. As long as I leave the machine up and running it's fine for switching between users it's fine. Never really troubleshooted the issue since it's the computer I let visitors use and it doesn't bother me.

Here is what I'm using. I use the included USB extension to raise the adapter up kinda high to aid in reception.

Both of my daughter's run wireless to my Linksys router. One has a USB wireless device and the other is using a wireless PCI card. Both work excellent. They have been running for two years without a single problem.

PCI on mine off a Linksys router.. 2 story house, no issues.

I run over 100 subscibers off a linksys wrt54g and they range from 200 ft - 6 miles away.

Just make sure and secure it so your neighbors can't surf your connection.

I run 1 13db omni sitting at 45' and 1 watt amp, then the cpe end uses a 14db rootenna with a 200mw saneo inside and then POE and eathernet to the PC or customer router.

I am researching this for my work...we are a 300,000 sq ft manufacturing firm and I am getting tired of having Facilities pulls CAT5 everywhere.

not sure how Oracle would work in a wireless environment either...

One way to find out is to set up couple pc running Oracle.
