how much for my 01 R6

how much do you guys think i could get for my R6?

its an 01 with 11,700 miles on the clock just had the plugs/wires, brakes, oil changed. have Pilot race tires on with about 200 miles on them. the bike is clean except for on the right fairing it was laid over by the previous owner. nothing major at all, just scratched the stickers so i took them off, and you cant tell its damaged at all from more the 10 feet away.


I want to sell my bike to fund my car project, what do you guys think is reasonable asking price?


*Edit* I forgot to mention the dealer offered me $3,500 for it...so i would think it would be worth more to an individual?

I've flipped a fair amount of bikes in the last 3+ years and I wouldn't sell it for less than 4K. If the bike had a couple thousand less miles and no visible damage I would shoot for 5K. It's the peak time right now, you could squeze $4500 out of it. Just because others have found better deals or are dfwstang low-ballers doens't mean you can't do it. Shit, I've been able to sell clean 98 F3's for $3500.

Damn, even has the billboard on the back. It looks pretty clean, that's the KEY.

I'm not divulging all my secrets, but a C-L-E-A-N bike is the key to resale IMO. :cool: Everything I sell, I take the bodywork off and clean the hell out of every square inch. I don't like overdoing it though, clean but not greasy. You don't want it looking like you just hosed the bike down with armor-all right before a potential buyer shows. Think clean semi-gloss, not jerry-curl sheen.
