As are most sport-twins, guess it depends what your used to. These, the TL's, RC51's, etc. are 'heavier by comparison' but believe me they are very effective for their intended purpose.

well pure speed is not #1 on some people's list for finding a motorcycle. a buddy of mine on his 05 gsxr1000 pulled me like nothing in 6th gear when i was in 4th from a 50 punch... oh yeah i was on a 05 749 and guess what, i still love the duc over the gsxr. a ducatti will outride a suzuki, period. and in my opinion looks 10 times better. on top of all that, you or i will never use all the power 100%.

That's a 999R, NOT the GP replica bike, which as far as I know, isn't sold here yet.

They sell for around 30K new.

Personally, I like to ride my bikes, not work on them or send them to a shop. I'll take the Suzuki (despite my distaste for them) and ride everyday and save thousands, thanks :D

I sold my 01 996 to a friend....at 6K miles the motor was done :o

Me and n737cn were riding around all day once and his ducati was giving him major starting problems and was dieing for no reason at all. It didn't seem like it was the most reliable thing to have.
