I love it when we are slow at work and I can tinker around with the car, wont be long people and you will see this at the GTG again soon. Damn I cant wait to get this thing running, with some help from other important role player's in the car (heattreated, tweaked blazer and 2tonecoupe) I'll be at the track next weekend! Olnly little minor things left to do, mount the fuel pump and headers, I still have to put the inner fenderwells in but the headers wont be here till Friday.

Lol, they are not the tires I wanted, they are only a 28x10.50 S tire. They will work but I sure did want the 29.5x10.5's.

What do ya'll think about the way it looks where I had to cut the fenders in the rear? I cut nearly an inch off, if you can see the trim that goes all the way around the rear tire you will notice where I cut it. It actually dipped back in a little towards the rear tire towards the bottom.

I didnt paint the car, I kinda like the flat black look though. I guess when I get to work tomorrow I can finish putting the clip together so I will be done with that part. I wonder how much more the springs will drop when it settles in?

Looks good. You will have alot of bolts left over as the new stuff came with bolts too.

It looks good but I'm not crazy about the wheels or the hood. Personally, i'd like it better as a street car with some 17's and a descent handling suspension on it but that's just me. :) It'll be a sweet drag car when you're done. I love those old Nova/Chevy II's. Post finished pics.

Its a street-strip car, I've had race cars and they are no fun. Its all Heidts front and rear suspesion so I dont think you'll do anything to it to make it handle better. The control arms are moved back so I can run a 17" wheel on the front but thats not my taste. :)

Its got a BBC in it with a glide. The wheels are 15x10 with a 5" bs. Headers that came in dont fit, roll cage doesnt fit, and just when I thought I was close to being done, I have to spend another couple grand. :(

On a side note I found a shop that will do a 10pt chrome molly cage for 1200. I found some headers that are only 1175 bucks, only takes 4 weeks to make them too! Everybody around town wants 15-1800 to make them.

Its gonna be fast, I dont know how fast. But fast! Maybe some 7.50's on motor and some mid 6's on spray for both stages. Its just a street beater. ;)

Sucks about the headers and cage :( Any way you can make the headers work without having them done again? It would be tight with big tube headers inside the frame, what you have now might work better with a little tweaking!

My GOAL is 5.70's on the first stage and faster on the second. One things for sure, its purely a nitrous motor, by no means other than the the first 5 or 6 passes I make will it ever make a N/A pass. It should be in the high 6's on motor but if I had a bump stick for N/A and the rings were filed for N/A it would run 5's with out a doubt on motor.

Hell I just wanna hear it run now! :o

There is no tweaking with these new headers I have, they just dont fit. I dont know if they sent me the wrong ones or what, they said these where chasis headers but they are not. They hit the fender and you have to run a little bitty tire...... :mad:

I decided to go ahead and put the chrome moly cage in instead of mild steel! My car will never be as fast as his was but his pics are scary to me. :(
