View Full Version : diff. between cbr600f3 -f4 brake peg/lever?
I know we have some folks on here who have had both of these bikes. Is there a difference between the f3 and f4i when it comes to the right peg/mount/brake lever or is it the same on both bikes i.e. interchangable?
I knocked over a friends bike and told him I would fix it. This is one of the major things that broke so I need to know if there is a difference before I start searching e-bay.
Thanks for all your assistance.

It's pretty crazy just how many parts you can swap from a brand new F4i down to a 91 F2.
What exactly is broken, is it just the lever, or did you crack the mounting assembly ?
I'm not sure if you can swap lever to lever. I know you can bolt F4i rearsets onto an F3 because I've done it. I thought they looked cooler and more modern, not to mention lighter, they do bolt on, but they sit LOWER than stock, much lower :(
However, the opposite should be true on th F4i if you install F3 rear sets. I always wondered if that would be a cheap way to get a better peg location, a true rear set, on an F4i.
That said, just buy the right parts on eBay.
*Technically, stock foot pegs aren't rear sets, the aftermarket variety that moved the pegs from their original location to something rearward and higher for extra ground clearance when cornering is a rear set, but that's what everyone calls them, whatever, hooray *

just go driving around some apartment complexes and look for an F4i...judging by all the dumbfucks who keep whining about their bikes being stolen at apartments you should find several of them :D
