ok. in seperate incidents now I've had shitty things happen on collins and also new york in arlington, and I will now stay away from those at night.
I like to keep my bike really clean, and it being a naked bike makes that even harder when the motor gets splashed to shit.
First incident: I go down arbrook and then turn north on Collins. a couple blocks down there's about half a foot worth of muddy sewage water covering the entire lanes. it gets all over my shoes, pants, and motor and bike. took forever to clean.
today I cleaned my bike up pretty good. then tonight I went riding over towards a friends' place. decided to take New York to Park Row since it was pretty fast coming home. I'm following behind some cars, when all the sudden I see them shooting huge waves up the side of them, and then I'm in nasty ass water up to my pegs. WTF IS UP WITH ARLINGTON and flooding streets at night???!?!?!? :mad: :mad: and, they don't even put up any kind of warning about the water coming up ahead. I stopped and looked at my bike and it looks like some dual-purpose bike that's just been through some major shit. plus my shoes are fucking soaked!!
So, if travelling through this area, stay the fuck away from any road other than cooper I guess.
