Just bought a car, went to install a pioneer cd deck. Bought the ford EZ install connectors. Hooked up the deck, deck comes on but no sound!
So I investigate, and notice there is a factory amp in there. I pull it out, unplug it. still no sound. So what am I supposed to do?? My EZ connectors have a couple of extra PIN quick connectors, but they dont match that of the amp.
Do I have to just hand wire everything??
Is there an EZ connector that I need?

So I did a little poking around, and I used the BLUE amp on wire, and hooked it up. The Factory amp is coming on, and the speaker wires on the amp side are hot, but still no sound. Im still missing something.

hmmm... well did u double check to make sure that all your wiring is correct (i duno how it couldnt be b/c u used an EZ harness haha) if the speaker wires are getting hot... then there is a current going thru... take an old speaker and hook it up to one of ur door speakers to make sure u didnt jus sumhow blow all ur speakers... if nothing there then u prob should just bypass the amp anyways... pm me if u need help with that one
oh shit jus thought, it COULD be a bad harness... i've fukin gone crazy doin the same thing b4 cum to find out one of the pins were missing in one of the clips... if you have your old HU, hook that little bastard up and see if u get anything through the speakers after that! if not then ur factory amp is effed up sumhow so bypass it like i said. :)
year and make of car??, Do you have a balck plug with your new harness? on the factory side do you have a square silver plug with a solid gray cable? If you do and you dont have a square black cable with new harness, you are not integrating the amp. Which most companies sell you because they know no better. If you have what i described then you need to pick up a metra 5512 amp integration harness, and with the harness you already have (should be a black and a grey), use the grey harness only.
