It happened about 6 times in a two week period. thats when i stopped riding for a while and then sold the bike.

I've lost count since I've been riding how many times I've come close to any accident. I can recall only a few times (maybe 6 or so in about 15 years where I have come VERY close to having one of those BADDD wrecks that total bikes and really fuck your shit up. I blew a rear tire in 1987 on I-20 at 10pm on my Honda CM185T doing about 70mph...I think I SHAT myself :eek: but didnt go down. In 94 I laid my CB1000 down going too fast around a curve and hit loose gravel and down she went. THAT HURT!!!...but helicopters are cool until you have to pay the bill :eek: In 2005 I plowed into the back bumper of an Altima when he got cut off in front of me and stopped. That didnt hurt me too much but it did cost some $$$$ to fix the bike. I've been fairly lucky in riding. I've come close to disaster a few times...and more than once it was my own fault...but MOST of the time its a CAGE driver driving with their head up their ass and not paying attention.

About 15 times in the last year............only two more times than when I am driving my truck.

If people are going to hit you it doesn't matter what you are driving/riding.......it's just that the bike is going to hurt that much more.

Usually every time I ride. When I was a newb in 00 someone got me, I've gotten a lot better at getting out of the way and throwing shit back at the car since ;)

Everytime I am on the bike I nearly get it. I have had to ride off road, on the shoulder and even share a lane with a suv, but haven't been down in a few years. I still remember the last time like it was yesterday though.
