No. Otherwise no one would buy these. (http://www.calsportbike.com/cgi-bin/store/index.cgi?pid=800)

well I was searching around on Kawi forums .. and I found out that the stock teeth count is 15/ 40 .. I counted the rear and its 40 .. will being -1 or -2 ( I dont know yet I dont feel like tearing the bike apart to count the teeth on the front today ,.,,) in the front really throw the speedo off by that much .. ???

yea going down one in the front throws the speedo off alot....gotta get a speedo healer..or just know what speeds you are really goin at all times
no bike speedo is correct anyways..usually off by at least 5-9mph

I have a couple of really handy worksheets that will calculate all kinds of good information regarding gear selection and speed error.

CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD (http://downloads.gap-eng.com/mdevore/GearingCalculators.zip)

It should be noted that factory speedometers read fast even when properly geared.

well I was looking at the "cover for the front sprockte .. and it looks like you just take like 3-5 bolts out and you should beable to see the chain/ sprocket .. but I am a lil weary of just taking things off on a "well it should be"

the problem with not correcting your speed to true MPH is the fact that the odometer reads off the same pick up so if you are ready 15 MPH fast then you are advancing the milage on your bike by that much as well. i used the yellow box on my 954 and it worked great since i had gone down 1 in the front and up two in the back...
