my 03 sv650 is about due for a new rear tire. it has a Dunlop D220 on it currently. the front is still in pretty good overall condition. i plan on just buying a new rear for now. where would you guys go to get one?

I would get both change because once that front gets flat spotted they will handle like azz.

call this guy, he's a friend of mine see what he can quote you...tell him Brian sent ya.
I have an 04 SV and I went with the Avon's for the second time. I got the AV46ST for the rear. They lasted twice as long as the dunlops and have tons more grip.
The best prices I have found online for tires is www.tireexpress.com. Only $10 to ship and I got them in 2 days.
You can get them put on anywhere. The dealerships charge about $30 off of bike and $60 on. There are a few places that will do $15 off and $30 on but you have to look.

I haven't heard anything about Avons. Anyone have any input on these. So far a few guys on the sv board recommend Michelin Pilots. since the front tire can probably make it through another rear tire i will probably go that route. i am open for suggestions though.

Metzeler Roadtec Z6's. The perfect blend between mileage and handling. I love them on my RC.
