Yeh I thought they were really good runs. I love close races like that. From what I was told his car makes 500-520 and mine make 420 even though you cant hear it over his car. H/C 6sp 4.10's.

He makes 505, and yea it was a real close race...

I want to race both you guys now, I slightly pulled a 42X RW C6 with cam a couple weeks back from 35-135 or so... should be a closer race as I make less power than that yellow car! :)

Yeh let me know. A C6 weighs 300#'s less than me so you should walk me. Those runs were from 40-125.

Never know, anything can happen in a race, I just know my car makes about 50 less than that yellow one... maybe the guy in the "6" couldn't drive for shit? He did miss 4th... :confused:

Those were the 5th and 6th back to back pulls, she wasn't too happy with me after those runs..

Thing is, on these heaton cars the power drops like a rock. I can lose 20 rwhp in a couple dyno pulls.. and that's one gear. :mad:

I would bet good money my car was turning out about 470 rwhp when we ran. Your car definately is a strong runner.

Good races man, viva la mexico. :D

I'm pretty sure I collapsed a piston skirt..

The damage was more than likely there from when the dealership overheated my car to the point where it died. Oh well, I can't prove shit. Guess I'll just swap in some forged pistons and then not worry about my engine anymore. Pistons are the only weak point.

In the meantime it still makes 500+ rwhp.

I used to go to the track alot before i got skinnies and now that i have them i havent gone yet. The reason i have them on is b/c i need new front tires and dont want to fork out $400. I found those skinnies for $200 and I wanted skinnies anyways so here I am. I dont like going from dead stops b/c of the stock rear. Even when I am at the track I only launch at 3k or so to be somewhat safe. My best time is 1.88 60' 11.95 @ 119 before the intake.

Damn thats not bad at all. Buddy just had his heads ported with larger valves and all new parts for 1000. With the port job you can get 4 fingers all the way down to the valve.

Ya ls1 parts generally arent cheap. About the only thing cheap on a cobra is pulley swap but then you have to do subframes so you dont bend something with traction than comes h/e and intercooler res. to try and cool things off. Then you have to worry about the clutch, etc. it just never ends.

Yeah, and the engines aren't as invincible as everyone seems to think. Pistons are the first to go! Ask me how I know.

One overheat with the Cobra PTW clearances is pretty much good bye pistons.

It would of been that much hp if the car was not hot but when cobras get hot the power really drops.
