Usually Class B misdemeanor convictions are 10 years from the date.

funny thing with tarrant county is i have 2 yrs corrections exp, tactical team member, military service, active secret security clearance, and a texas peace officer license and they passed on me lol

Maybe because they didnt think you would stick around very long.
I used to turn down people all the time because they were "over qualified" Why spend the time/money/resources to hire/train someone if you think they may be just working here temp untill a better spot comes up.With previous LE experience they probably thought you would just stay untill you got hired on by another PD..
Back when we were hiring for desktop support people I was turning away MCSE's,CCNA'S,ect. becuase I knew they were just looking for a job untill they could find what they really wanted...

yeah thats the only thing i could think of. i was trying to get on with the operations side of the sheriffs office (meaning warrants and all) when they told me about this job i was like yeah ok
