Keep it in a controlled enviroment with a ref & mouthpiece's & we need to agree on the size of gloves. MMA is 6oz & the last DFW thing we did we had to use the shitty sparring gloves. I have some 12 0z gloves for training. But we need to have something better then the sparring gloves. I think 8oz gloves would be good or 6oz gloves.

I used to fight for sport(tournaments and military boxing), but after two torn rotator cuff surgeries, I fight only when my life or my family is in danger. It is a fun sport, but to just climb back in the ring and throw down without it being for my life, would end me right back up in the hospital getting surgery #3 and the Dr already said that he is gonna sew my fucking arm to my ribs if I come back. :D

SEB, to make it perfectly legal to do a little boxing with JKD and avoid any and all problems, you could go to the place that he teaches other guys. That way you can see what he can do and no worries about lawsuits or a guilty conscience. I have been meaning to make it up there and get my ass handed to me by Steve for a while, but working on the truck and being a new dad had not made it easy.

My wife works for a Law Firm in DT Dallas & if the is any real intrest in some guys just getting together for some fun & beating the shit out of each other. I will have her talk to one of her attorneys & have her draw up a form to sign, I am sure with two big guys trading licks & wrestling. A broken arm or Leg is very Possbile in wrestling & trading punch for punch. I can easily see someone getting a broken jaw or losing some teeth or broken nose. I hope with mough pieces & 6oz gloves we should be ok & be able to avoid these kind of injurys.

I think fighting is a sport & don't look at it as something personal. Some of my best friends are guys I have fought & we become good friends out of respect. If there is some intrest in this next DFWStangs Toughman Competetion. You should come out.

I will be there. If I had known a few people were gong to make such a big deal about me not showing up, I would have. This isn't a "toughguy" thing for me, it's my passion.

Learning to fight is a byproduct of the arts. I love what the arts do for people in a personal way. It's gives the weak confidence they never had, strength, endurance and level playing field to deal with the false confident assholes.

I'm not a temple dwelling, turn the other cheek pacifist by any means. My approach is simple, direct and efficent. It comes across arrogant and brash at times, but if I could not do it, I would not say it. Because there always someone willing to call another's bluff. Which is why you never see me talk trash about car stuff or driving skills. :)
