It's been an ongoing problem and I'm looking for ideas and opinions. I can't access this site from my home pc. I click on the bookmark, 20 seconds go by, then I get a window that says 'operation timed out, could not connect to dfwstangs.net. I can type the address in the address bar or search and use the link through yahoo or google with the same results. DFWstangs is the ONLY website this happens with. I can get on everything else. I have no problems getting on the site from my pc at work. I had a friend walk me through "pinging" the site, which checked ok. Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated and you may have to dumb it up for me some as I'm no guru. Thanks.

I've got the same problem sometimes. I'm using Firefox; maybe that's it.

I use Firefox and it does that sometimes as well. I think thats Firefoxes way of saying that the site is busy. It will do it a few times and then work.

Yeah, I forgot to mention that after I get that message a few times, it'll load (lightning-fast) the "server is busy" message page.

I use Mozilla firefox as well, but I can try and try and the site just won't come up. I don't think it's a server busy issue, because I've been on the phone with someone a few times and they can bring up the site no problem while I can't, no matter what time of day it is. I can't bring it up using IE either, yet I'm at work now using IE and no problems.

Who is your provider? Do you have a laptop, or a friend with a laptop than can test to see if it's a provider issue or an issue with your system? If you can hook up a seperate computer to your high speed line and access the site, then it's a problem with your computer. If you can't access the site, even on a different computer hooked up to your line, then it's a problem with your provider.

Good luck.

Weird shit, I'm at home and this is the first time it's worked in weeks. The IT guy at my wifes office is going to bring over some of his doo dads and check it out this weekend. I'll have him check your suggestions as well. Thanks for the ideas bro.
