View Full Version : I'm convinced - the refs are trying to throw this series.

I mean, Heat player after Heat player was called on bullshit fouls in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Stackhouse WASN'T ejected when he should have been. The refs did everything they could to get the Mavericks into the game last night, and instead they tried to build a fourteen-storey brick wall...
I think the refs could have helped more if they pulled out that 2" rim of clear plexiglass inside the Mavs basket. :D Good GOD they put up a clunker last night.

Plexiglass inside the rim = joke.
Refs making calls to get the Mavs involved in the game = no joke.
It was obvious to me. Give me one reason why Stackhouse wasn't ejected. He didn't even make a play for the ball.

I saw nothing that warranted an ejection. It was a borderlline flagrant at most.

Its Mark Cuban's money helping them make the calls...

It was a flagrant but no reason for ejection. I did the same thing when i played ball in school except i put the kid into the wall and all he got was 1 free throw

lol @ running 50ft full speed into a 325lb guy and knocking him EIGHT FEET away being "borderline flagrant"

He made a play for the ball. Now had he tucked his shoulder down and tackled, him different story.
It's fucking part of basketball. He didn't hack at Shaq, he body bumped him, and swatted at the ball.

Shaqs size or speed has no bearing on whether it was a flagrant, it's the intent that warrants the ejection. Stackhouse's intent was to tie him up and keep Shaq from getting his hands over his head. It happens all the time, and is not a 'flagrant 2' foul. It is a hard foul on a 325lb guy moving really fast.

Are we watching the same footage? Stackhouse didn't even come close to making a play for the ball, he stuck his hand up but it was at least a foot away from the play. Flagrant 2. I can see a Game 5 suspension.

By putting his hand he was makin a play for the ball. Shaq's size makes it hard to reach around him. Hard ffoul? Yes Flagrant? Maybe but still no reason for suspension

Well . . . it's funny how I was a nut just a few weeks ago for saying games are being thrown by the NBA front office, seems some people are finally waking up.
The script has already been written. The outcome of game 5 doesn't matter. The outcome of game 6 doesn't matter. Because game 7 has already been guaranteed by the NBA front office.
Go WWE, I mean NBA

suspending him all the way into next season might be a little much.

That was funny. And he said it actually felt pretty good - thanks Jerry! I was cracking up.
I honestly don't think I've seen a more flagrant bounce in years.

The planets are aligned once again because we agree. I agree, it was clearly flagrant, but Shaq is trying to be the classier individual. You're not going to get homer Mav's fan to admit that. Right now their Ref conspiracy theories have been blown out of the water. They are confused and bewildered.

I still say there were some obvious no-calls for Wade in the final minutes of Game 3 to keep him from fouling out. :) But that's neither here nor there.
It's exactly the same thing as last night though, they aren't going to kick anyone out of a game that could be an important contributor to a comeback. The difference is, Stack was only 3/27 last night compared to Wade three nights ago. :D

i agree with it being flagrant. We all do. But kick him out of the game for it?
not one bit. Now had he wrapped his legs around him and rode him to the ground like a mule, then stomped on his head when he was on the ground. YES

Just like the refs were keeping the Heat in it at the end of game 3. Only difference is that the Heat manned up and made the plays. The Mavs gave up.

Shooting 31 percent, 13 percent 3 pointers, and only 26 of 74 points in the paint

I think the biggest key to Dallas losing has been Dirk. He didn't produce diddly in the last 2 games, and they've lost. He had some of you crying "foul" when he didn't win league MVP. If the potential league MVP doesn't produce for his team, it's gonna be a bad outcome, period.
